I used multiple gift cards to prepay for my onboard credits. I'm actually due a refund of about $160. I knew from the Boards to save all the gift cards and reward cards. My questions are how long does it usually to take to have the refund issued and how will I know which of the cards it's going back to? Hoping someone who has gotten a refund can explain the process.

Typically the refunds will go back in reverse order that they were applied. So the last card you applied to your account will refund first, and so on. I'd suggest starting there.

If you don't know the order you used them, you'll have to check each one until you find the full refund.

I agree it usually only takes a couple of days, maybe a week at most to show up.

We've had refunds the last two times we cruises, but we used our DVA. For the first one, our refund wasn't there after about two weeks and I called and they took care of it. For the last one, it was there a couple of days later. I'm not sure what accounts for the variation, but if you haven't seen it after a couple of weeks, I would call.

Just curious if they deducted the DVA bonus after you got refunds from DCL.

I'm not sure. I just spent some more money, enough to trigger another bonus and I thought I should have had enough to trigger $60 but they're sending me $40, so it's possible.

Ours was refunded back to our DVA in less than two weeks and they did not deduct the DVA bonus from the refund.

This may be a dumb question, but do you need to bring your cards on the cruise with you, or just have them at home in case you get a refund? Thanks!
