Obama's spending and polls

...and I guaran-damn-tee you that the arrows would have been just as sharp and cries of "Socialism" would have been just as loud based on her universal health care plan alone had she won the nomination. What's amazing is that some of you guys actually think that now that Sen. Obama's our party's new standard bearer that we've somehow forgotten all about how the Clinton's were dragged through the mud by the RNC. The PUMAs are willing to give you a pass because they're POed, but not the rest of us.
Yep, the fact that Slick Willy had to have sex with an intern, that was the RNC's fault. Or the fact that he had to lie about it under oath - again, the RNC fault. Or the special prosecutor that CLINTON set up, again, the RNC.

And the fact that the special prosecutor got power hungry - also the RNC fault. Hillary's inability to understand the Health Care system? Again - the RNC. Everything is the RNC's fault right? Clinton just would have had us in paradise, except for the pesky RNC. They were also responsible for NAFTA, right? After all, even though it has Clinton's name on it, he was forced to again by the RNC.

To blame everything on the RNC, which most on the left do (just following their leadership, who of course never do anything wrong) means we are guaranteed 4 more years of a presidency just like Bush's. Another president that is always right and everyone else is wrong.

Just curious. You do realize that the above pic is actually a pic of a Hitler rally in Nazi Germany that has been altered with BO's seal?? :rotfl:

Tina

Yep, I realized it after I posted it! :lmao:

Yeah, he's WEAK.....

obama_rally_nazi.jpg

OMG, this picture is priceless, and that you chose to even use it is more priceless! Did you even happen to look at the name of the jpg?

Just sayin'

ETA: didn't read the rest of the thread, I was dumbfounded at the image...guess you did realize it and left it.

The only promise Obama is going to keep is to increase taxes on the "rich". This will lead to fewer jobs. Which leads to less spending. Which leads to less jobs. Yes, a depression.

And, if we are to believe Joe Biden, Obama will be facing a very serious international crisis almost immediately. An Obama presidency means we are truly screwed - and that from your VP choice.

I disagree. I think much to many on the far left's dismay, he will not raise taxes on the top 2% until the economy improves. Of course, we're both guessing here, so we'll have to see should Sen. Obama become President.

Just so I get you straight...you're saying that Sen. Clinton would have been labeled a socialist, just like Sen. Obama has been, no?

Why? Folks who make over $250,000 per year are not looking to devalue their investments and the companies they own and/or operate. They're looking to enhance the value of their businesses, not drive them into the ground. The nature of a progressive tax is that reactions to it are buffered by the higher affluence of those who pay a larger percentage as tax. It isn't the big catastrophe you're trying to make it sound like. The death spiral you describe is about as likely as a McCain/Palin administration driving so much labor strife that we'll have Italy-style labor strikes that will cripple our society. Neither are anywhere close to the truth, and neither scare tactic should be granted any credence by thoughtful voters.

Who are you gonna trust to face an international crisis? Calm, cool, smart Obama or erratic, elderly, angry McCain? What's a presidential candidate's first important executive decision? To pick a running mate. McCain picked Sarah Palin. SARAH PALIN!!!!!!!!! You want him making decisions for you in a crisis????

Dang straight on that point. The thought of hothead McCain with his finger on The Button is only less terrifying than the thought of Sarah "This is God's War" Palin's finger on The Button.

Without regard to McCain's erratic nature, his stated intentions themselves are worrisome. He seems, especially from the manner in which he and his campaign have attacked those who advocate diplomacy where he prefers aggression, unwilling to consider peace before war. His perspective, perhaps driven by forces within the party to which he has been forced to kowtow, has been too tilted towards finding the next war to get us into instead of finding us the next peace. This kind of reckless disregard is not typical of a military man, and therefore doubly-distressing from McCain.

Buying the election? Puleeze, last time I checked I won't be getting a check when I vote on the 4th! lol

Right on! :thumbsup2

The news continues to report that Obama's campaign is outspending McCain's by 6 to 1, yet Obama isn't able to seal the deal. Obama has run the most expensive Presidential campaign in American history and yet can't bring in an overwhelming amount of votes. It makes me wonder where McCain would be in the polls if he spent an equal amount of money and if Obama is buying the election.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

FINDING THE NEXT WAR TO GET US INTO?

YOU'RE KIDDING RIGHT??????????????:confused3

Lets HOPE we can get OUT of Iraq and then OUT of Afghanistan without surrendering to TERRORISTS!
Actually it was Colin Powell who "SAID YES, we MUST go to War", convincing Washington it was the RIGHT thing to do. NO ONE WANTS WAR! Powell doesn't deny it,
But now it's McCain who was responsible for our entry into Iraq???
Somehow I think that if MCCAIN had had ALL THE POWER instead of Bush, we would be further along to successfully complete the war and be OUT already if not close to it.

STILL A CHANGED Democrat, PROUDLY SUPPORTING MCCAIN! :thumbsup2

Please stop yelling.

No, I'm not kidding. Go back and read McCain's comments on Iran.

Indeed, no he doesn't: He is actually honest enough to tell us that he regrets it.

But now it's McCain who was responsible for our entry into Iraq???
Really, I didn't know that. How did you find that out?

Somehow I think that if MCCAIN had had ALL THE POWER instead of Bush, we would be further along to successfully complete the war and be OUT already if not close to it.
Back in 2000, McCain was a lot less erratic, a lot more like the man I was planning on voting for this year.

Actually, I'd rather have McCain at the helm. With his international and military experience, he is much better prepared to deal immediately with a crisis, which I sincerely hope does not occur. With an Obama presidency, we would waste too much time while 'the one' prepares himself for another blah, blah, blah oration. I hope he keeps the Greek columns handy so we don't have to wait while he sets up to stage another another one of his ah, um, ah speeches to the American people instead of taking action.

Sorry to offend those who think America is color-blind, but I think it's all about racism. We have a cancer-stricken old man whose running mate is a certified moron, yet the race is still very close. Let's face it, if Obama were white, this race would have been long over.

I know I'm gonna get flamed, but I see racism every day. EVERY DAY!!!! And I live in a very liberal town. I'm not accusing all McCain supporters of racism, but to say racism is not a big issue in the US is delusional.
This is right up there with calling Palin a "tranny hooker" . You sir- are very offensive. That "cancer stricken old man" is more of a man than you will ever be.

Of course racism exists- not only in this country but in others. It's disgusting but so are some people..... so there ya go.

Just so I get you straight...you're saying that Sen. Clinton would have been labeled a socialist, just like Sen. Obama has been, no?
Nope, what I'm saying is that blaming all of Clinton's problems on the RNC is ridiculous. He wasn't forced to do the things wrong that he did by the RNC. He chose to do them. The post I quoted you seemed to be giving him a complete clean slate and he was 100% victim (I thought that was only for Obama? :lmao: ).

I'd be concerned that McCain would "bomb Iran". His recent erratic nature, and his rhetoric itself, isn't very stately.
