Believe it or not there are actually churches where priests, rabbis, pastors, keep politics out of their sermons and their churches.
You see this is where the problem lies. In America, you demand "separation of church and state". In my opinion sermons have to discuss political and world events and try to equate them with biblical teachings. The preacher/minister/priest/rabbi HAS to try to make some religious sense out of what is going on in the world around you otherwise church is a history lesson, not a religious experience.
It sounds like many of you want your religion blended and spoon fed.
BTW, I listened to a couple of sound bytes from and didn't really consider them "spewing hate". I don't think he hates America at all, nor was he trying to inspire others to "hate". I actually agreed with some of what I heard. However, my impression was formed only from only a few seconds and I would have to listen to the sermon in it's entirety to form and intelligent opinion.
