Obama's Aunt- she only get's one thread!

Might I ask a question completely basked in common sense here.

What in the hell does this have to do with Barack Obama and his campaign?

Answer, absolutely nothing but when everything else you've tried isn't working you get desperate and more and more ridiculous.

Nothing. To his credit, I haven't heard McCain say a thing on this topic. Yet. We still have three days to go....and he's behind, so I wouldn't be surprised at any low blow tactics at this point.

That Rush and Hannity and others like them have been spouting on and on about stories like this (and others), just speaks to what they really think about their own candidate. Can't think of anything good to say about him, so let's attack the other guy. Limbaugh went on forever about this aunt and uncle on Friday.....well, that's all he said for the ten minutes I listened.

Another photo of the building where Obama's aunt lives in "squander".

Talk about slating a story!

Everyday it seems the secrets and rabbit holes in this guy's life keep deeper and deeper, yet no one cares. This stuff should have been on the table back early this year or late 07'. :sad2:

Ah yes, "Teflon Man" avoids another sticky situation.

That would require John McCain supporters to actually talk about issues that actually mean some thing Bicker and we know that's never going to happen.

Let's see what been discussed lately on the dis
-Obama's aunt here illegally
-Obama not really a natural born citizen
-Obamas relatives in Kenya living in squalor.
-Obama kicked some news journalist off his plane.

God forbid anyone actually discuss what McCain will do about the economy or the unemployment rate (in case any one is interested we have lost over 600,000 good paying jobs this year.) or the tanking of the stock market (I guess no one cares that we bailed out wall street but Thursday the fine folks on wall street got year end bonuses averaging 625,000 bucks)

Many of us did talk about his initial position on immigration and many of us felt that it was the end of his aspirations to be president when he introduced the bill to facilitate illegals entering and remaining in the country. It was the bill that the president was willing to sign. They all got message. Its not what the majority of Americans wanted.
McCain has been talking about the economy. You haven't been listening. Lowering the capital gains tax would foster investment. Lowering corporate taxes would encourage business growth with companies remaining in the USA
Not raising taxes would allow Americans to keep what they earn.
Limits on government spending would limit the need of more tax payer dollars.
Adding a trillion more dollars to he budget as Obama wants to do, pursuing a policy of isolationism with regard to trade, (Colombia for example) will stifle growth and exports, taxing the producers of the country and giving a welfare check to those who don't pay taxes will bring our slow economy to a grinding halt. Giving Pelosi, Reid, et al a blank check will bankrupt this country and failure to drill for oil will guarantee that the little gas price reprieve we have now, will end and prices will hit $6 per gallon. Joe Biden's promise that Obama will be militarily "tested" is extremely concerning. I would prefer to elect someone who isn't threatened with being tested. Al Qaeda wants the Republicans and President Bush "humiliated". Thats enough for me. I know who they would like to see in the White House and its not John McCain.

I gather that OS see no problem with illegals getting support from US tax payers, while US citizens are homeless.:confused3

I live in PA, there are massive amounts of McCain ads on both tv and radio.
90% are about Obama. Obama is this, Obama is that. The only time his name is mentioned is at the end (I'm John McCain and I support this message)

Are you talking about the Bailout package that was FULLY SUPPORTED, and pushed through by the Democrats & Obama???????:rolleyes1

its funny there are no threads about WHAT McCain will do for this country to make it better or fix the mess but just threads about how awful BO and why he should be president. Its kinda sad..I mean if McCain spent anytime talking about what he would do I would be shocked.

"feel"
"once"
"earned"
"nice"
"health"
"assault weapons"

This all fits very well with the McCain/Palin campaign's efforts to show overt intolerance for the perspectives of others, as a foundation for their intention to impose their own beliefs and values on the laws of the land, despite the fact that many Americans explicitly object to those perspectives.

Rhetorical disrespect for roughly half of America is no way to demonstrate leadership. It is okay to disagree, but to do so using innuendo, insinuation, and finger gestures :) just shows how much the person projecting those perspectives realizes how inappropriate such perspectives are.

And the right accuses the left of invading "Joe the Plumber's" privacy.

Talk about double standards.

Not even close to being the same. Obama sought out Joe and asked him a question in an attempt to make himself look good. When Obama realized that his answer was damaging himself, to make up for his inadequacies, he attacked the very man he was trying to use as a foil.

It is a sad day when an American citizen can not question his/her elected officials without fear of retribution.

Sure it was supported because our fearless leader (Bush) gave everyone the death and destructions song and dance. Our world would come to an end if it didn't pass. So is that really a choice or support. And I found it amazing how suddenly we were facing armeggedon when a week before El Capitan was on national TV saying our economy was sound.

That's because McCain realizes he cannot win on his own merits and that of his VP candidate, Sarah Palin, but rather can only win through mud-slinging.

Give me a break. He only met his father once, yet the Obama haters on this board think he is obligated/responsible for his father's family.
Sorry, I think not.

But he wants to make me responsible for every other family in the US and the world (by doubling what the US sends to other countries).

Common sense was tossed out the window months ago.

I have a problem with cheats.

Once you all run this woman out of town, can you focus on the citizens who cheat? You can start here with our fellow DISers. You know the ones who admit they receive WIC, free/reduced lunch... all while planning/enjoying WDW vacations and DCL cruises. Oh, let's not forget the WIC collecting DISers who own DVC.:scared1:

I'm right next door to you in Jersey, I went to the 2 Palin rallys held in PA. The women never, not once actually said what the republican plan was. She spent the entire time saying what Obama was and how we are going to heck in a handbasket if we voted for the Democrats.

The only problem was my real life has been scary enough the last 4 years so nothing she could have threaten me with could be worse. I kept saying to myself, ok now she talk about how she's going to help working moms since she supposedly is one herself, but she never got around to it.

Source please.
I would like a link.
I want to be informed.
TIA

Did you hear the entire speech. What Joe Biden said was that "they will test him and find out that he has nerves of steel and the will to back it up"

As to the rest I don't have a problem with your concerns, but when has McCain ever discussed what he would do to solve them. I'm concerned about oil also but we cannot drill our way out of this because EVENTUALLY we will run out, petroleum is a non renewable energy source. America is 6% of the worlds population but we consume 27% of the energy. we cannot drill our way out with those types of numbers. What does MCcain plan to do? WHO KNOWS, because all we ever get is Obama, Obama, Obama
