Anyone know what's going on with MI and FL? I read that a county clerk in MI said a redo there is unlikely and it seems FL has stalled.

The DNC was so stupid to discount those voters.

It seems FL has stalled completely. But I heard as late as Friday night that a Michigan primary on June 3rd was quite viable? Is the county Clerk's statements more recent than Friday?

What does everyone else think about the course to not only focus on PA but also to focus on Indiana and N. Carolina at this time (which have more delegates combined than PA)? The last few days he's been in Indiana and all I hear is people asking why he's THERE?? That's been the campaign strategy all along and why he gets these head starts in states where his competitors have not yet focused... and then they can't understand why he wins those states.... It's a strategy that continues to work for him it would seem... Not to say he won't be back in PA, but it's thinking outside the traditional box....

That was a great video clip...makes me wonder exactly what is going on behind the scenes. She seems so positive about there being a decision before the convention. I wish I was that positive.

I totally agree with her though, the supers shouldn't overturn the will of the people. I think this is where Obama's 50 state strategy is going to help him the most! I think it is about time we support a 50 state strategy and lay off the divided stuff.

Yes We Can! Go Obama!

I saw on our local news that the Oregon AFSCME voted overwhelmingly yesterday to break ranks with their national organization's endorsement of Clinton to endorse Obama.

Oregon AFSCME Endorses Obama

By - March 15, 2008, 11:08PM
The Oregon chapter of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) has endorsed Barack Obama.

This is big news, since the national AFSCME endorsed Clinton and only the Illinois AFSCME had broken ranks and endorsed Obama.

Oregon AFSCME has endorsed Barack Obama for President of the
United States. The union’s executive board made the endorsement today (March 15) in Portland.

“The union took action prior to the upcoming Oregon primary because Obama has a history of standing up and fighting for working people,” said Oregon AFSCME Executive Director Ken Allen. “In Illinois, Sen. Obama fought alongside AFSCME to keep vital public services open, including mental hospitals and prisons. He also worked to help organize thousands of workers at Resurrection Hospital, and supported card check recognition for other workers seeking to unionize in their workplace.

“He is a candidate organized labor can proudly stand behind and support.”

Several members of the Oregon AFSCME Executive Board explained their support for Obama.

“I think he’s a uniter, not a divider,” said Becky Steward, President of AFSCME Local 88, which represents Multnomah County employees. “I believe his record better reflects how my members feel in Multnomah County.”

“I believe Obama has a proven track record of fighting for our members,” said Jack Tucker, President of AFSCME Local 2067, which represents City of Salem workers. “I also believe Obama has a much better chance of winning in November against John McCain.”

Dal Ollek, President of AFSCME Local 1724 that represents City of Eugene employees, said Obama brings a message of change.

“We need more collaboration at the national level,” said Ollek. “I believe this vote in support of Obama represents the best choice for the American people.”

Tina Turner-Morfitt of Salem is a Corrections Counselor and president of a statewide local that represents Corrections employees in the state prison system. Obama’s ability to unite people is what led her to support the endorsement.

“I believe Obama can unite Democrats, Republicans and independents alike, which is what our membership within Corrections looks like,” she said. “This endorsement best reflects the thinking of our members and leaders.”

Matt Hilton is 27 years old and works at OHSU, where is he active in AFSCME Local 328. Hilton also participates in Oregon AFSCME’s “Next Wave” program, which is geared toward bringing up new union activists from those 35 and under.

“I’m proud that AFSCME Council 75 has an independent voice and leaders that are willing to listen to our Oregon members’ opinions,” said Hilton.

“I’m proud of our progressive Council,” added Jaimie Sorenson, 30, another Local 328 member and another Next Waver. “Our union stands for what we believe in, and our candidate is Barack Obama.”

With the Obama endorsement, Oregon AFSCME joins the other biggest unions in Oregon supporting Obama in the Oregon primary, including the Oregon Education Association, the Teamsters, Service Employees International Union, the United Food and Commercial Workers and others. Allen said AFSCME plans to mail to its members and participate in other get-out-the-vote activities both for Obama and for Jeff Merkley for U.S. Senate.

Go Oregon! :woohoo:

Thanks Honu!! This is just amazing... given the recent criticisms that both Organizations and pledged delegates are still flocking his way....

Here's a campaign update for volunteers... The calls are now going in to Independent's. The campaign is looking to identify Independent's who are looking to vote for Obama, but to do so they MUST change their affiliation prior to March 24th.

The call script is on the website & is very simple..... I'll be putting in at least 20 calls each day this week...

Why is it the 9th richest person in the senate is looked upon so fondly by those that make less than 50 grand? I just got this data and found it fascinating... I'll just post it here... but I guess there's a reason why the '07 information isn't being published by the Clinton's:

Clinton Income: 10.6 million per year
http://www.opensecrets.org/pfds/CIDsummary.php?CID=N00000019&year=2006

Obama Income: 572K per year
http://www.opensecrets.org/pfds/CIDsummary.php?CID=N00009638&year=2006

So the latte liberal's are going for the wrong candidate :rotfl2:

but I guess there's a reason why the '07 information isn't being published by the Clinton's

Oh, without a doubt. They don't want the amount or the sources revealed. It won't play well with the blue collar crowd.

I don't think THIS would go very well with the blue collar crowd, never mind what '07s data might say....

All I can say is Holy Crap! The income gap is incredible...

I love it! We are setting ourselves up to wipe out Clinton's delegate gains in IN and NC.

Has everyone seen this? I am in a self confessed tizzy at the moment

http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/...residential-election-poll-shows_521720_4.html

Every election I vote in there's a *** spoiler... we lose to McCain by 5 points & Nader gets 5 points, just like with Gore :confused3 I'm just furious thinking about this...

I don't know, I think once the Democrats get a candidate, we will see both HRC and Obama's numbers tick up a few percent. Once the Republican attack machine turns fully on one candidate and the Democrats can focus on Republicans, we will see an uptick in the Dems number (or maybe that's wishful thinking ;) ).

Please tell me this will not be another spoiler year, my blood pressure can't take it :confused3 you're probably right, the uncertainty of the candidate probably is affecting these numbers, and there's plenty of time for McCain's numbers to go down as Iraq continues to be the quagmire it is... Is it so terrible to think we should start pulling our troops out?

I know, mine either. Nader is an attention seeking idiot.

Shh, but I think Oregon was on the Win list that accidentally got leaked by the Obama camp, Shhh!!!!

On an aside, have you heard the list? It was spot on except Maine where they expected to lose, even their percentages were fairly accurate, with a few big surprises.....

Yeah, they have been amazingly very accurate with their predictions. I really like their 50-state strategy.

You don't happen to have the remaining ten predictions do you? I had meant to write them down on Junior Super Tuesday when they were being listed multiple times and I didn't, now I'm kicking myself....
