Dear David:

The 2008 primary campaign has been a spirited contest that has resulted in record voter turnout. Both of our candidates can proudly boast of bringing new people into the process and energizing our Democratic Party.

With the campaign now entering the final phase of the nominating contest, it is vital that both of our campaigns come together to ensure that the delegations from Florida and Michigan be seated to reflect the will of the voters.

In Florida and Michigan, nearly 2.5 million Americans made their voices heard and participated in primary elections. We think the results of those primaries were fair and should be honored.

Over the last few weeks, there has been much discussion about how to ensure that the Florida and Michigan delegations are seated. We think there are two options: Either honor the results or hold new primary elections.

To that end, we are in active consultation with all of our supporters in Florida, including Members of Congress. In Michigan, we are in active consultation with the committee appointed by Governor Granholm.

We hope that your campaign will join us in our efforts to ensure that these votes are counted.

Sincerely,

Maggie Williams
Campaign Manager

Really? Sit MI and FL as is, if the states can't figure out a re-vote/caucus? She was the only person on the MI ballot. :lmao: And isn't Granholm a Clinton supporter?

Yes and Yes she is. Getting rid of her is the only positive point of Hillary becoming POTUS! :rolleyes1

And to add, first we didn't matter, now we do matter and are very important to Hillary's campaign, but we might be to unintelligent to figure out how to vote again?

That's what my parents say about Corzine in NJ. :lmao: He's even willing to help pay for the re-votes since he is hoping for a cabinet seat.

Well hey, you are in good company of states that don't matter!

I found this on DailyKos today and literally "LOL"'d

Total votes-1/3(Caucus votes)/Boutique states X number of latte drinkers+superduperdelegates X pii + trips to Bosnia=Hillary ahead

The Field is predicting PA to be 60/40 Clinton with a net delegate win of 26 delegates.

Thanks - now I need to decide whether I would help or hurt him by placing his sign on my lawn. Not sure what the neighbors think of us :rotfl:

Join your State's Message board off the Obama website, people will list when they have them, where they have them, etc... you'll get them much quicker... that's how we got them here.... Also, you will receive updates as to where he is going and when....

I saw a poll this morning on realpolitics this morning & it had her up by 14.7% points or some such figure. I don't expect that lead to hold up at that level for six weeks...

I hope so but I do think she'll win PA but we'll keep it close with the Pittsburgh area and then Philly and the Philly suburbs, which have trended Democratic since 2000.

Unlike a large blowout like last night, I think Obama will fare well and Clinton will not have a large blowout in Pennsylvania.... I think it will be much closer than what most have suggested recently.... If it's a single digit loss, we'll still be in very good position to move forward into the States after PA, even if it were a 15% loss, he's still going to be in good shape...

OMG, that letter made me laugh so hard, I snorted. :rotfl:

It doesn't make me laugh, it makes me livid. I have no words to express how I'll feel if Michigan's primary is not re-done and our delagates are seated based on our "partial" primary. If the DNC allows Clinton to take my state when voters were not ALLOWED to vote for the candidate of their choice...oh wait! I have words to express how I feel, I just can't use them here.

can you call your state party leaders and let them know what you think????

you need to speak up!!!

It's not the situation I'm laughing at, it's the letter itself. I'm sorry about your vote not being counted. The rules weren't followed though and in a contest, rules need to be followed and enforced.

Hi - I've read a little of this thread, and thought I'd join, as I am a huge Obama supporter. haven't had my chance to vote for him yet as our primary isn't until May....

Well, maybe you'll get your chance! It was nice being able to vote in a primary that mattered. Often by the time it gets to Ohio, Super Tuesday's decided it.

I'm sorry, the Clinton Campaign including Maggie Williams is NUTS if they think those delegates are going to be seated as is.

For better or worse, candidates were told not to campaign there & that the votes wouldn't count, now here we find ourselves. Why should we accept that someone with 20 years of name recognition won on their merits when everyone else running (including Obama) could not introduce themselves in Florida... how is that fair? She won Michigan? She was the only one on the ballot, if that is what constitutes a win, it's pretty far reaching.... I'm not too enamored with do-overs when the state legislatures knew the penalties in advance, but since it seems the DNC will allow it, the States should come up with a fair and equitable, tamper proof way of doing it....

tamper proof is especially important!!!:thumbsup2 ( hmm do i not trust the clinton machine??)

I hope they really think through all the possible ways to tamper with this election and avoid them. I'm sure, though, if Rendell/Clinton had their way they'd choose this method: Write who you want on a 3x5 card, and mail it to Gov. Ed Rendell. He'll save the DNC money by counting all the cards in his basement. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

LOL, get ready for some spin:

“If Barack Obama cannot reverse his downward spiral with a big win in Pennsylvania, he cannot possibly be competitive against John McCain in November.” - Clinton

She's lost 14 of the last 17 contests, and is now further behind than before March 4th.

:rotfl2:

She really is more delusional than previously thought.

WTH did she say this?? She's really lost some of her mind as I said earlier...

That's some logical though process. :rolleyes1 Scary. :scared1:

In the meantime, I'm waiting for the next political science lesson from Professor Ferraro. When will Geraldine explain to us the only reason Hillary is even in the race is because she's a woman? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
