I thought we as Democrats held each other to a higher standard.

Sure we do, but the competitive drive to win can sometimes muddle a message. I'm not one to throw Clinton under the bus because she's made a few poor decisions in he campaign this go around. Quite frankly, there hasn't been much that her campaign has done that I feel was all that inappropriate.

Feb. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Hillary Clinton cemented years of goodwill with gays in 2000, when she walked in New York's Pride Parade.

``Having the first lady march was enormously powerful,'' said Representative Barney Frank, one of two openly gay members of Congress, both of whom are backing Clinton. ``I've never seen such a strong emotional outpouring.''

Now some gay voters, who have been among Clinton's most stalwart supporters and helped her defeat Barack Obama in Democratic presidential primaries earlier this month, may be drifting toward the Illinois senator, according to political activists and campaign officials........

This Clintons had 8 years to give some goodwill to gays. DOMA and "Dont ask Dont tell" are not exactly my idea of "Goodwill". I'm willing to give Obama a chance in this area.....sometime change is good!

Another Super Delegate for Obama.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-03-01-delegate-race_N.htm

The State Democratic Executive Committee on Saturday elected Alabama AFL-CIO President Stewart Burkhalter as an unpledged add-on delegate for the convention.

Burkhalter, who was backed by the Obama campaign, won by six voters over Jerome Green of Birmingham, who was supported by Clinton's team.

Burkhalter said he will vote for Obama at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August.

I've posted this in other places but the Obama rally i went to today in RI had 10,000 people..They had to open a second building for overflow...Hillary got 2000 and only filled 1/3 of the first room.

It was awesome..Lots of excitement in that room..It was a madhouse at RIC..They had to divert the city buses to another route as their was so much traffic

Awesome. I'm watching him in Ohio on C-Span now.

So glad to hear about the rally Jenny! I see her lead in RI is down to single digits - if she has trouble there on Tuesday, it's going to be a looooooong night for her.

I thought a few weeks ago the media was saying she needs huge wins in TX and OH; now suddenly, even a slight win will make her the "comeback kid." (gag)

And did everyone see we got Rockefeller's endorsement yesterday. I guess WV no longer counts. :lmao:

Ok, seriously. Jack Nicholson, bless his smart ***, misogynist old heart. Is she going after old white guys with that commercial? They actually played The Battle Hymn of the Republic in the background.

I prefer Obama, but I have not been posting on this thread. I don't know if there are as many Obama supporters saying they won't vote for Hillary if she wins the nomination as there are Hillary supporters saying they won't vote for Obama, but to be fair since I posted over there...

There is a lot at stake in this next election. There will be deaths and retirements of Supreme Court Justices in the next few years. If reproductive rights and gay/lesbian rights mean less to you than the personality of the candidate then we have serious problems.

No worries from me. I will vote Democrat in November! :cheer2:

Me too. I will be just as onguard with HRC in the WH as I would be with McCain though.
