Very few board members post trip reports on here which is kinda disappointing. I don't have time to read the main trip report board... too many non-DVC reports and since we no longer stay in regular Dis resorts... I'd like to see more here.
So I am wondering/ requesting anyone who is going soon to please do a quick report so we can see how our investments are doing and imagine a trip through your experiences PLEASE!!!!!:worship:

I think there are quite a few trip reports on this board. I know I usually do them, but once they are done, they tend to fall off the early pages and get lost.

Click the Trip Report link in my siggie...we were AKV Be warned, though...it's a long one (though complete so you're not left hanging for an ending) and there are LOTS of pictures..

I feel when people report there trips here, if it was a bad trip. Members on here get way toooo upset. Members who report are often called names and such. I myself would never report a bad experience again, to be call a troll or what ever they call it on here. NO THANKS. That might be why you dont see to many trips reported here.

I think most often this is the case. My DSis was just at SSR for one night this week and she had such a great time, I kept smiling :) as she was telling me about all the fun they managed to fit in their short stay. I also appreciate reading about people's trips here.

I'm never sure if trip reports are allowed in this particular section. Are they? If so I'll post what I've been up to this week. (I'm chilling in the room before my night time Pirate & Princess Party anyway.)

This is the place to post "Welcome Homes" and other congratulations, trip countdowns, room and trip reports, DVC rumors and speculations, DVC special events (cruises, member get togethers, ride/attraction previews).

So, it would seem that this is the place....looking forward to reading how your trip has gone, BroganMc.

OP - I generally post our trip reports here... like you, I can't quite wade through the ones on the main board and since I try to include things specific to DVC in our reports, I just feel like it fits better here in DVC Mousecellaneous :) Here is our most recent trip.

Well mine is up so far. I tried to give just the highlights. My confusion is that I do double duty at both my timeshares so the Mods sometimes see my reports as more general reports. For me, my Disney vacations are the best of both worlds.

This trip we're doing 2 weeks at marriott then a week at Disney. In September we'll do the opposite. I just hope Disney has the free internet worked out by the time I get there. I can't see justifying the cost of that unless I absolutely need it for work. So far my clients have been happy this week and not bugged me.

Thank you.... I got a good DVC fix today thanks to your links and reports!!!! I 'll post when we go in May!

I will be posting a nightly report on my blog for our trip 5/4-5/11. Link in my sig! :thumbsup2

I also love to read TRs...(BroganMc, I've been enjoying yours the last couple of days)...they're the first thing I look for when I sign on to the Dis...

I frequently post from on-site, too...I'm one of the hordes who get to go to DVC as often as I do because there are weeks when I can bring my laptop and do my work from WDW...people are usually very friendly about posting "thanks" and "enjoyed it" and "have fun" in response...but sometimes I think, "why would anyone want to read --AGAIN-- about my trips to WDW?" This thread makes me think maybe there are other people like me who just love to read the TRs...especially those posted "live" day-by-day...

Keep the reports coming, BroganMc, if you can/will...we get to "live vicariously" thru you when reading your reports! (And we share your love for SSR!)...by the way--you're missing a couple of really nice weather days back home...we've been peaking at 80 with sunshine the last day or two...(I'm in the DC area, too)...tomorrow we go back to the cold (ish--50s) wet, though...

Have fun, and thanks to everyone who takes the time to post from WDW!

i admit i'm one who has never posted a TR (tried, but i don't bring a laptop, so am very diligent penning notes for the first few days.....& taper off to "ate" & "slept" by the end:confused3 ).

however, i've gotten so immersed in some TRs, where i can almost smell that WDW smell, walk along with and feel the same warmth (or cold) as the writer.
i agree that the "live" reports are especially compelling though (maybe b/c you know the TR is actually occuring as you're reading it:confused3 )...whatever the reason, please keep them coming ~ reading TRs really helps scratch that seemingly insatiable "itch" :thumbsup2

Just read your report.....I loved it....tried to post a comment on it...but there
was no "post reply button":confused3
Do finished trip reports get closed?

Yup.

Once they're "completed", they leave them open for a week or two, then move them over to the "completed" subheading and close the threads.

Glad you enjoyed it! :)
