O/T - Looking for places to get kid's shoes in wide widths

Both of my kids wear wide running shoes. I need to get them some for fall, especially for DD for school.

We typically go over to Payless in the U.S. (they tend to have more variety of wides in kid's sizes) but with the dollar and duty plus gas, we may not come out ahead this time around.

Does anyone know where to get kid's size running shoes (girls 10-11 and boys 8-9) in wide? We've purchased from Stride Rite in the U S. before and I see that Kiddie Kobbler carries some SR, but the KK website doesn't show which shoes they have and in what widths. What about Panda? Anyone shopped there? Our Payless has very little in the way of wide shoes. I also can't make sense of the Shoe Company website. Someone mentioned to me that they have wides, but I don't see any wides on their website either

We have none of these stores near us (except Payless) but will make a trip to Toronto to look. I'd rather not drive all around the GTA area though!

My kids just need some shoes for heavens sake!!

Anyone have any tips?

My DS4 has really wide feet too.We usually go to Payless but have also noticed Wal Mart is carrying some wide width shoes too.

Have you tried Winners? I know it's hit or miss but every time I am in our store they have a decent selection of kids shoes like Stride Rite.

I've had a lot of luck getting "wide" shoes for my DD at the Shoe Company. They have some really great clearances on running shoes right now. I got her a wide Adidas for under $30.

My DD6 wears a wide size 2, and my DD8 wears a narrow size 2 and I was able to find them both shoes to fit there .... there are British-imports in narrow sizes for anyone who needs those.
