Hi All,

I am travelling to DLP in summer and I'm taking my sisters family who will be travelling down to London from Glasgow. However, I am really struggling to find hotels in London that have family rooms.

I have even taken a look at some serviced apartments due to the lack of hotels which have rooms that sleep more than 2 adults.

Does anyone have any experience of staying with a family in a hotel around st pancras station who could make a recommendation? I need a room which sleeps two adults and two kids for the night before we leave for DLP.

Thanks

K.

Hi on our way and on our return we always stay in one of the many travlodges in the area I like the royal Scott it's about 10 min walk up hill from st pancreas but very quite and the rooms are huge sleep 4 that can be 4 adults to not like p inn the only let you have 2 adults per room.
We have stayed in the central kings cross travelodge about 10 times it a noisy but 2 mins from kings cross station so 5 from st pancreas

Thanks so much, that's really helpful. It's much better to get a recommendation! I'll take a look now :thumbsup2

Another vote here for the King's Cross Royal Scot.
We had a family room last month and the room was great. It had a double bed and a single bed and we're sure there was another single pull out bed hidden away. The room number was 325. I'm unsure if they take requests but it could be worth a try. Here's a few pictures.

If you have a slightly higher budget you could look at the King's Cross Travelodge which is closer to the station, but has more risk of noise. We stayed here in August for a weekend break and had a family room right above the train tracks. It was very noisy and difficult to sleep.

we always stay at premier inn kings cross. We are a family of 5 and go in 1 room (1 is in cot, they can only fit beds for upto 4 ppl a room). it takes us 2 minutes to walk to the eurostar, its clean and very nice.

they have a new premier inn a few seconds away too now, premier inn st pancras.

both are literally a stones throw from the station and surrounded by places to eat.

I wish the Premier Inns would let four adults stay in a room as we are also looking for accommodations in London and our two children are in college but we'd still prefer a family room of some kind. :(

Just a quick, probably dumb, question - when you see "cot" on the website (or in this forum), does that mean the North American equivalent of a crib? So are you fitting 5 people in that room but one is an infant or toddler who doesn't yet sleep in a bed? We're a family of 5 as well, but our youngest is 4. When hotels here say they have beds for 4 plus cot, they usually mean 2 double or queen size beds, plus a rollaway single mattress that we call "cots". That kind of "cot" will work for us, but a "crib/cot" won't.

Thanks for your help in clarifying! :goodvibes
