O-M-G! Dining ressie cx- can you believe this?!

I actually think it's a good thing. Say someone else was trying to cancel so they could get a spot?!
And since you made through AAA - did your agent make the ADR's or you?

I am always asked if I am the person on the reservations. How does she know that he (since they are in his name) wants then cancelled? What if you are doing this out of spite (not the OP but in general).

My AAA TA didnt make the dining ressies for me-- i did that. i just called dining this morning and s/w another CM, gave her one of my dining ressie confirmation #s, asked whos name it was under and she said it WAS under MY name.

i was just frustrated because since January i have been making and canceling dining ressies with no problem.

oh well- as i always say ( i think i may add this to my siggy) when you dont like what one CM tells you-- call back!

thanks everyone for your input.

I completed understand about your DH not knowing & the planning involved.
This past week (with 12 days until arrival) DH decides to look over our itinerary for the week. He says to me "I would really like to do HDD again" WHAT!!!

As far as other financial information in DH name. When we purchased DVC, DH had nothing to do with it co-sign the paperwork. Everything that arrives by mail is addressed to him!!! :furious:

He loves it though because he knows it annoys me. I keep hearing "oh look Disney has sent ME something in the mail again" :sad1:

I have to change some ressies today, I'll let you know how it goes. If I let my df do our ressies for our trip in Oct. we wouldn't be eating. He doesn't have a clue.

I just wanted to comment on AAA not towing the car cause the card has the dh listed first. I have AAA with my father as the primrary. I have used the card more in the last 6 yrs then my father has in the 30 he's had AAA. I never have a problem. and yes i have had cars towed more times then I care to remember. (kind of explains why my father gives me the membership)

I know how frustrating it is but it is to protect you. From working in several different financial institutions contact centers, I would say be careful with "pretending" to be the person who's supposed to give the permission. All of our phone calls were recorded and kept for years. I remember one couple that the husband was the primary and we had to have his "permission" before transferring money. Apparently for years his wife was calling either lowering her voice or getting her son to sound like him to give his permission. A few years later they got into a nasty divorce with the husband stating he never made all of these transfers out of his account (but apparently it was ok with him at the time because you would think someone would notice hundreds of dollars coming out of their account  ), the court subpeoned (sp?) the tapes and voice tracked the tapes and discovered low and behold, it wasn't his voice and he went after his wife for all of the money she had been transferring for all of those years.

I agree with another poster that if someone knew you were eating somewhere and they wanted that place (especially if it's all booked), they could pretend to be you (or your DH in this case) and cancel the ADR so it would open a spot for them. It sounds crazy but I have seen crazier.

AVA- cute, funny.

Don't all you females know the pe-is always gets top billing! :rotfl2:

Ressie- just this past mo. I called to update my YC ressie. Somehow got put into my son's name. He doesn't even live w us, he's 28!!! Yes, he is staying in the room, but mama is still footing the bill! :confused3

Hmmmm, he is one w a pe-is! :rotfl:

Being a single mom... I don't have these issues. I am the Queen... The King is no longer King, he is now 'he who must not be named' or, as my DBF says, 'the beheaded one'. I make the reservations, I pay the bills, I make all the decisions. For better or worse, it all falls to me. The buck stops here.

The only issue I have with reservations is when they ask me the age of the child in the party because I make reservations for 3. I give the kids ages, and they almost invariably ask me if I didn't mean to make the reservation for 4 people :rotfl:

Uhhh, helloooo... I can count... ;)

:sunny:

I've had issues with two different doctors' offices for my kids sending bills to my husband even though I choose the doctor, make the appointments, and have the health insurance in MY NAME because my job includes health benefits and his does not! Sure, they'll take my insurance, but then all correspondence goes to him. It's just the idea that the wife doesn't matter that bugs me.

Sounds like they are trying to do the responsible thing. The good thing about being single is you don't need anyones "permisison" to do anything. ;)
