Colleen, your birthday sounded wonderful!!! Glad you had such a great day!

It was a good day...I really am blessed,

my hubby, DFIL and kids really know how to make me feel special.

Oooh...I wanna go to Santana Row!

You girls really need to hook up.

Hey Nan, is that where we ate or is that the ritzy area you showed me?

For all the pictures I took in Cali,

the only place I regret not taking pictures was Los Gatos~

it's really pretty there~

Yes i DO INSIST - so i will def find something you will love!

Thank you Brenda

Thank you Brenda
Los Gatos AND Santana Row are both pretty upscale areas...my customer is here for a wedding - so Chel & I are just meeting up with him & his wife for coffee at the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company (a place my BIL refers to as "where all the beautiful people hang out") - i don't go to LG as much as i do SR....so will fun to be there & we're even going to shop there a bit before heading over to SR....

Nan...my 1st time at AKL was on the 3rd floor in a SMOKING room...so if you DONT want smoking make sure you don't get one....they moved us right away (well the next a.m. as it was sooo late) to the 5th floor....

Disney doesn't have smoking rooms anymore. It used to be if you requested non-smoking at AKL, you were pretty much guaranteed savannah side (mostly because they kept the smoking away from the animals ;) )

Los Gatos was where we ate and then Nan drove us thru Santana Row~

I didn't get pictures of any of it :confused3

We are on the 3rd floor, rather than the 5th like last time, so again, I hope we are ok.

We're staying WL concierge this time, in a jr. suite, which aren't on the concierge lounge floor. I really wanted to be on that floor for the convenience, but we need the extra space (well, we did when Mel was coming, and I'm NOT downgrading), but I'm sure Jesse ans Cory will love going up and down the elevators just for fun.

We won't be there until the morning of the 25th, so we can't take Wilson off your hands on the 24th.

THAT's the BEST news i've heard in a LONG time....

The new rule is awesome for folks who follow the rules...
(and those of us who don't smoke, have allergies or asthma.)

I wouldn't be surprised if people still tried. The enforcement the hotels are using is pretty strict, they can and have charged the guests a huge fine if they get caught.

Aisling, have you considered upgrading to the concierge floors with Mel not going?

I'm just curious...

do you get a kitchenette with a jr suite?

Judy, that's a great idea! Especially the clothes with shoes and jewelry to match (I told you I was a fashion freak!) Ok, this is going to sound nutz, but last time I even sketched out which luggage we were bringing, just to have a visual...2 large suitcases, 1 smaller suitcase, 1 garment bag, 1 toiletries bag, and day bag.

Tried the eliptical this evening, holy cow you must have strong legs! I died on that thing, I really felt the burn, but I was using an inclined one, and I'm definitely not ready for that. I did stick it out, though. Next time it's the flat level girly one for me!

Artie, BEAUTIFUL photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can see how having a cottage there is a dream come true.

Tig, get any good birthday presents?

I just noticed Owen wearing Crocs! Cool kid!

My elliptical doesn't incline. I'm not that in shape.

Nice pictures artman.

How do you pick just one section of someone's message to quote. I tried highlighting it then hitting the quote button, but it didn't work.

Judy

I copy the line I want to quote

click on the quickreply icon
quickreply.gif

then hit the quote button
quote.gif

then paste in between the [ quote ] paste here [ / quote ]

If you'd like to add their name in, or even something cute

go back and edit your [ quote ]

to say [ quote = something cute ]
(eliminate the spaces - mine is for example only)

then hit post.

Clear as Mud?

After reading it slowly about 3 times, I get it. I wrote it down on my cheat sheet. I am seriously computer dumb!! My kids always know to write things down for me when I need help. Pathetic, I know.

Thank you very much Colleen! Those are the type of directions I need.

Judy

You are welcome.

Teaching with a mix of computers is another career path I am trying to go...as most others, it seems I need a specific certificate saying I know what I'm doing first :confused3

My appt is on Friday morning so I should know what I qualify for by then~

i'll be in Los Gatos with a customer this Sat for a coffee mtg - Michelle will be with me....maybe we could meet for lunch at Santana Row???? I gotta go to the New balance store...You might as well meet her too before the cruise....we are going to WDW 'after' the cruise - better spend Xmas with DH...& figured there might be less crowds as ppl should be traveling back home....we're staying till tues 1/6 at Beach Club Villas
Yes i DO INSIST - so i will def find something you will love!

Can't do Saturday, and now I remember why we haven't met, our schedules never jive :rotfl2: I'm off the track with Wilson. He has his first night race on Saturday, then another race on Sunday. Sat is a makeup race for the rain out on 2/24/08, his bday race :sad2:

I am sure you will be fine at AKL...

I would be ;)

The third floor is actually the first floor -

if anything, I would hope that would get you a better (closer) view.

We had third floor poolside when we stayed there in 05.

Cool, we are savannah. I figure mom will be hanging in the room a bit so that is good, she can watch the animals trolling by.

Yup, LG and Santana Row. Google them and there are your pics:duck: I know not your idea of pictures, but funny dontchathink :rotfl2:

Like Tigg said non-smoking everywhere now so that is a relief, we are STRONG NON-Smokers!!! I hate smelling it on the ship

No biggie, on Willie, just found out my nephew, wife and baby are coming :woohoo: He will hang out with them that morning, while I'm spaing and his daddy is at the track.

Let's make a plan to connect at WDW for sure. I'll call ya we can tawk...Oh, btw, Paul wants to know since Mel dropped out can he :scared1: I smacked him and said nope!

Having a room on the concierge floor wouldn't be an upgrade to me, since they only have regular rooms on that floor, so it would be a downgrade. We want to stick with the jr. suite! It doesn't have a kitchen, but a wet bar. And we still get concierge, as it's automatically included with the suites/jr suites.

wls6.jpg

I originally booked it because it's the only room that holds 5 people, with another smaller room attached by French doors. I figured no looking backwards, just keep the room, since I already paid for it.

To the right is the room entrance and bathroom. To the left is the extra sitting room with pull out sofa, tv and balcony.

Oh, btw, Paul wants to know since Mel dropped out can he :scared1: I smacked him and said nope!

Yeah, I could imagine Mel telling Paul "nah nah nah nah nah I got out:banana: "

I would take the jr suite too! ::yes::

For all I know, I don't know very much~

I had no idea those rooms existed at WL.

Yeah, I could imagine Mel telling Paul "nah nah nah nah nah I got out

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Tell Paul I could take his place as quick as I could take Mel's ;)

no really.

;)

I knowwwww, Paul's going...

I won't be held responsible for *BOTH* husbands backing out :faint:

Is Wilson upset he's too young to go to the track?

I went shopping today...spent the birthday money Dad gave me~

His girlfriend "bought" me a new Tinkerbell swing coat at the Disney store

He "bought" me two fall tops with matching cami's at Kohls today :)

Paul doesn't get to back out, he is my sanity

Wilson doesn't know about the track stuff. I think I'm not telling him cuz he'd be sad :sad1:

agreed.

I went and checked, he's gotta be 16 before he can do a ride along.

Can you picture that???

Wilson. at 16.

Here's Nan  :faint:

Well it DOES happen WAY too fast...here you are with a baby one day...turn around & POOF they're practically all grown up!

Yep Nan you're right..we have both just been too darn busy.....uggghhhh...takes a cruise to get us together...

Funny thing he just took that turn from little boy to more mature recently and it's nice. I love how his face changed with all his big teeth!

He will be a great one at 16, I'm looking forward to what he will make of himself.

I feel sad when I think of Molly's growing older. She is my little red headed baby in my mind...

Nan, make sure you check this page and see if there's anything the Magical Gatherings coordinators can help you with.

Thanks for the link, I was looking for that info the other night. I tell ya that WDW site is so big easy to get lost in.

I can navigate DIsney's site pretty good...

I was watching a behind the scenes video today of Illuminations.

Anytime you need a link to something specific, just say so. you know that.

I treasure those days of milestones with the kids.

My son just hit another one by telling me he's not moving back home.

I miss my baby and am so proud.

Now to get that female child on the track to responsibility :scratchin

Enjoy every moment.

We talked about DFIL taking his girlfriend to see La Nouba.

I personally think Irene would really like it.
