OK, I changed my mind, I bought a Tux today, it came with my BabyDoll for the slumber party.

OMG This I have to see! First go with Nan and have your legs waxed! She's the Cruise Waxing Queen!

Edited to add that I saw you got the tux from ebay. I'm going to take a look right now.

Hi gang,

We just had a serious cruise meeting at my house, with all cruisers present, and also my bro and sis in law (Cory's parents). Topics of discussion:
1. If Mel's really going or planning to bale like he did last time'
He decided for sure to go.
2. Tuxes or suits.
My men unanimously voted tuxes AND suits...the wearing of which on which night (Formal Night and NYE) to be determned when those nights arrive.
3. Fish Extender participation.
My stateroom is in (6540 me, Mel, Jesse, and Cory). Chad and Louise (6540)opted out because they feel they'll be too busy with school and work to give the gifts the attention they deserve.
4. Excursions.
Key West: me, Mel, Jesse and Cory will walk the town on our own. Chad and Louise will be doing a DCL GPS walking tour.
Cayman: me, Mel, Jesse and Cory will be on the charter boat with Anjelica's family. Chad and Louise have opted out in order to do a DCL excursion, can't remember right now which one.
Cozumel: Mel will be staying onboard. I'll be doing the cooking class with Josefina. Chad, Louise, Jesse and Cory will be going Tulum with DCL.
Castaway Cay: Jesse and Cory will be doing the Teen Wild Side (I think that's what it's called) with DCL. Me, Mel, Chad, and Louise will just be hanging out, and will see what's available day-of if we get the urge.

Anjelica, take note you'll have 2 less on the charter excursion. I realize the price per person will now be higher, but at least now we have a definite number for my group.

Transportation: DCL bus or limo.
I've cancelled the DCL bus transport from the WL to the port, and have booked a limo instead, which will save us almost $200.
Rum:
Yes, lots of it.

I haven't done so yet, but I'll be calling DCL to cancel Debbie's dining link with us. It breaks my heart to do it, and if you're reading, Deb, I heart you, girlfriend.

Nan, please PM me with your ressie number(s) so I can add your family. I'll also send you mine, because you also have to call your TA to "confirm". (New rules).

I've been gyming every day, working so freaking hard, and cutting out my carbs as per my trainer's orders, who swears to high heaven that I'll fit my size 10 clothes by cruise time if I do exactly what he says. (I'm currently a 16, so I need A LOT of pixie dust). He even thinks I can get down to an 8, but first of all I think it's impossible to do in 4 months, and also when I was a size 8, I wasn't as, how shall I say this, voluptuous, and I don't want to lose my voluptuousness, if you know what I mean ;) !:rotfl:

So that's my saga this Saturday night!

How are all youse doin'?

Ok - now you guys have me worried - there are others wearing suits right? I just don't want to be to far out there with the Magic Matey's in terms of tuxes vs. suits.

Aisling - updated website with the new info regarding Chad/Louise not doing the excursion and fish extenders. I also took Ddeb4evr off the linking of the dining :(

That is really great about getting into the gym. I personally think a size 10 is GREAT. I don't know your height or bone structure (small, medium, large) but sometimes even a size 10 on a tall woman with a medium/large bone structure can look sickly (not turning you off but you should be very proud with the work ethic you have put in and even if you only get to size 10 - that is GREAT!!!). I've made it into the gym 3 times this past week - strictly doing cardio but shooting for at least 50-55 minutes of working out which equates to 500-650 calories. I really need to start back in the weightlifting to really have some lasting effects. I really am proud of you ladies for keeping it up!!!

I will keep checking in!!!

Anjelica, according to the poll, more of our Magic Mateys men will be wearing suits instead of tuxes, so no worries. I just have a bunch of guys who like to dress up to the nines. On our last cruise, my two guys were the only men at our Dis table that wore suits instead of tuxes in Formal Night, and it was fine. Chad's in his James Bond mode (I swear he said that, he's gonna kill me), and Jesse's in his GQ mode, so it's tuxes plus suits this time.

Thanks for the gym encouragement. I'm short, 5'3 and a half, medium body type, so a size 10 will still put me in the meaty category, but that size is flattering on me, so that's my goal. I still have all my size 8s and 10s in clothes, so I won't have to buy a thing if/when I make my goal. I keep thinking of all the money I'll be saving.

Anjelica: Wear what is comfortable, don't stress over it. It's vacation babeeeeee:banana:

:woohoo:

Nan, delegate whatever you can Lady...Lee Lee won't mind ;)

When you say whole family, does that mean Paul's cruising too or just doing the Family/Land portion of the trip?

Rum? Did somebody say Rum?!

Who's bringing their own? and what are you bringing?

Aisling, You Go Girl! Keep up the great work!

It's nice to see that Mel's in for this one AND that he's even taking a down day for himself. For as quiet as he is, I think once he's around John, Paul, Artman and Rus - he'll liven right up. My husband seems to have that effect on DISer husbands. When I met Dalpal (a threadkiller friend) at the Rennaissance Faire, our DHs hit it off so well - you'd think they'd known each other forever!

Aisling....i (finally) posted on the tux thread....

Nan - is your current reservation for the 4 of you, so you'll have to add Mom? can you PM with what DCL quotes for an addon....i TRIED SO HARD to get DS' GF added but it was just SOOOO much...possibly because it's just ry & i in the room...hope you find some decent airfare!!! here's some P&PD to help you with that!!!:wizard:

Brenda:

I figure mom will be over 2K at least we are cat 4 I'll let ya know what I find out.

I also have to find out about getting her an electric wheel chair for the trip. She can walk, just small distances. We have a travel wheelchair, but I think it's time to upgrade, especially since she isn't driving anymore. I'm thinking she could use it to get next door to the grocery store, if she'd use it :rolleyes1 stubborn old lady that she is.

I'm going to start making the calls soon, wish me luck.

Hope everyone else's weekend is going good. We are worn out from spending the day at the local Six Flags Waterpark - we wanted to get one last trip in prior to the pools and waterparks in the area closing after tomorrow. That's one thing I miss about the ocean/warm weather - being able to swim all year round (I lived near water most of my younger life and somehow ended up in the midwest - never saw that one coming).

I see National Treasure is on NBC now - I LOVE that movie (I love US history, etc. and they due the Declaration of Independence justice in it). Sorry going off in la la land now.

Actually bummed that our gym is closed tomorrow as it always helps me get the week starting when going on Monday. I'll try and get something in though.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!!!

Any requests? I can bring a couple of bottles of something, but I have to admit I don't mix a good drink.

Since we'll be using the limo, maybe we can make a liquor store stop for the booze, and for some Coronas (Chad's fav). We can keep them iced in a cooler in our room, yours for the asking. I owe you a drink or 6 anyway! Jill can bring the limes! But since I don't drink beer, I'll be the Magic Matey Rummy on this cruise!:drinking1 :boat:

Anjelica, I just noticed how you have Shadow listed on the web roster: Shadow (DSD). How sweet!

Cap't Morgan dark and Coke (not diet) with a big wedge of lime is my poison, followed closely by Corona. Maybe it's just the lime that I like :confused3 .

We signed up for the romantic escape package yesterday, so now I need to decide on a Palo time, anyone make up their mind yet?

Well we def need some GOOD champagne.....and what's that drink Kaz was talking about....Kir Royale or something to that affect? I think we need to have some of that to toast in her honor...oh Karen, I am still so sad you aren't coming...another good drink is that black/white liqueour - Sheridans' i think is the name....can't get it out here...anyone know if it's available in Fl?
Other than than....DCLs DOTD of usually a good mix :thumbsup2

Just looking at the excursions. We are leaning toward a just a walk about at KW, the Pirate Encounter at GC (I think Owen will enjoy that), the Dolphin Swim at Dolphinaris at Coz and Parasailing at CC.

If anyone is interested in any of the above let us know.
