What a gorgeous view, Aisling!!! :cloud9: And what a good son to send you photos so quickly - it must make you feel happier being able to picture his surroundings...

I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures! Artman, if you and your family ever want to have a long vacation in Rome, Chad's landlord rents out the apartment on a month by month basis, for 600 euros. It's in a great location, it's immaculate, and comes with a cleaning lady once a week. And the subway is walking distance to travel around the city.

I sneaked/snuck out of my house, all my houseguests are still asleep, and I wanted to spend some alone time before the non-stop activity of the day begins. They leave tonight and want to squeeze 3 days worth of activities into one. My house is a MESS, coloring books, plushies, diapers, Hanna Montana dolls, etc eveywhere, but I'm going to miss it all when they leave

Jesse has his last final exam today at 1 pm, and then he's done with school for the summer.

Have a good day, everyone!

Those are great pics. He must be in the same area where we were earlier this year (are hotel was right across the street from where the Vatican Museum Doors are - Hotel Almandi). That seemed like a very nice area away from alot of the main traffic. How long will he be there?

I haven't heard from my last interview...I sent them a "thank you for having me" message yesterday. I have another list of apps to send out today and I'll check on Career builder again to see if they have anything new.

There's a job fair at my old school this Friday too...I need to get out in the next day or so and do summore work clothes shopping~I already shrunk one of my new linen blouses  I'm such a dolt when it comes to dress clothes~good thing I got it at a really reasonable price~

Those pictures from his apartment in Italy are AMAZING!!! Could you imagine having that kind of view from your home????

I have always wanted to visit Italy... as well as Switzerland. SOME DAY!

I hate to wish the summer away, but I would really like for the cruise to be sooner. I am going to start a diet on Monday.. I need to lose some of the 30ish lbs I have put on since last year.

On an up note, Brian asked last month about going to WDW for a quick weekend w/no s. kids. I readily agreed and that is a month away now. Hoping to lose some of the weight by then, so I wont need new clothes for that 4 day weekend trip!

Anyone else plan on dieting before the cruise?

. How long will he be there?

One summer semester is 6 weeks, then he'll be home for 3 days and off to Florida for a week with Louise. Then the day after they come back, the 2 of them, along with me and Jesse, are off to Atlantic City for an overnight at the Trump Taj Mahal to see Tom Jones.

Tig, good idea about sending that thank you message to the prospective employer. It'll definitely make a good impression.

Back to the crazy house.:hyper:

Oh yeah - been planning on it for almost a year now - not going that great. I think I have the eating portion down without killing myself but I need to get back to exercising, etc. Ever since mid-April I've been doing nada.

...Anyone else plan on dieting before the cruise?

Always! :rotfl: I'm dieting before my August cruise and I'd be dieting if I was joining you guys!!! Somehow ;) I managed to put on 14lbs between October and January (thanks DDP) and it's proving a struggle to lose... I'm low carbing and gyming...

Judy, (magicalfam)

DId your family ever get the cabin you were after?

Aisling, which day are you seeing Mr Jones?

Actually, they did. I know rooms normally go back into inventory, but my TA was able to figure out a way to give it to them. I hope that doesn't make anyone mad, but I'm happy for them. (I would never mention this on the main boards, I probably would get screamed at) They just hope they can manage to come up with the money before it is due(they normally get an inside stateroom and this is a cat 6). Everyone seems to be struggling these days! She said she will take a second job if needed.

Aisling--nice place Chad has!!

Kelly--I give up on dieting. I try to eat healthy and ride my elliptical, but my pudgy body isn't changing for the better anymore! Probably won't get on my elliptical till I get my blood count back to normal.

Judy

Wow. I just noticed we are almost to the six month mark...

it's your sister Judy, right?

That's great that you could transfer the cabin...

her determination has me stoked about the cruise~

We can do this!

:hippie:

:hippie:

Yes you can!

Judy, great news about getting that other stateroom!!

Ok, diet news: none!:lmao: I did well for the first month, and then backslid like a sinner on a Saturday night. I have to say that the ear piercing did help, but the constant pain just wasn't worth it. Well, we still have 6 months to make a dent, right?

Kelly, I'm so happy for you that you get to go to WDW next month. I can tell that you really need/want this vacation.

Artman, how was Claudia's trip to the World??

About the exercising...I've got a challenge to line up for Aisling...and anyone else who wants to try it.

There is a ten minute workout I know from Cindy Crawford's first exercise video. Unfortunatley, the only place to get it now is on YouTube and not in english!

It's perfect to get started with~

The challenge will be: after I post all the details, (and directions in english)

...you have to try it!

It works the legs, stomach, abs and stamina. Once the stamina is up high enough to do the whole ten minute workout, you should be ready and able to step it up a notch~

You have to commit to doing at least a part of this routine every day. Once a week is not gonna help you. The days I do heavy lifting or moving are the only days I don't do the routine.

We've got six months ladies -

I don't expect miracles, I only hope that in time,

we simply feel good about ourselves.

Six months should be a good amount of time to get to a happy point!! lol

What if we post on here the LOSES or gains each week, to keep each other on track. NOW. I am NOT suggesting we post our weights, but rather the goal of HOW MUCH we would like to lose, and then each week what we have lost or gained?!?!?!?!?

Sorry the earring didnt really work its magic. That is a shame.

I do need this vaca. I am losing my 3rd pregnancy in 3 months. I have put on entirely TOO MUCH weight through these excrutiating months... and plan on working on me for a while. Starting w/that trip to WDW in July.

I couldnt possibly start trying again until at least Sept is what I am being told, and in the meanwhile they are FINALLY going to run tests to determine WHY this keeps happening. This is why I thought there was a chance we WOULDNT be going on the cruise... bc of the latest pregnancy that is now failing and going away by next week.

Sorry.. TMI right???

Well... I am declaring that I want to get rid of AT LEAST the 30 lbs I have put on through this process, and perhaps an additional 10 by the time the cruise rolls around. So in 6 months, I would like to be 40lbs lighter. I dont think that is too aggressive.

She doesn't go until July 6th. She is getting a little nervous, she is not used to travelling without me, but she will do fine.

I keep giving her the weather updates in Florida, the fells like temp was 43C (109F) yesterday. She thinks I take some delight in this......Not me. ;)

I am so sorry Kelly  sharing is a lifting weight~Share Away~

I threw away my scale years ago and refuse to buy another.

I am currently a size 16 and would be content in being a 14 or even a 12 in the next six months.

The only way to lose 40 lbs in six months would be to get on a (possibly trainer facilitated) exercise regimine. You'd have to be committed.

Real dieting only works if followed up with real exercise.

You are too funny~109!

I was that way the first time I travelled without John.

I was going to the Grand FLoridian to join a friend of mine and her family. I was nervous on the plane, I was nervous taking the shuttle by myself, and of course I was nervous all the way home. I felt like a kid being in charge of myself for the first time ever.

I do this on the UK DIS forum and it really helps!:thumbsup2 It takes me forever to lose pounds (not so long to pile 'em on - how crazy is that?!) but posting keeps me on the straight and narrow... Good luck, Kelly...

I'm very, very sorry to hear this, Kelly!   I hope the tests reveal what's going on with you - I know how horrible and difficult this can be...
