Are those your shoes? Where did you find them, they are so cute/ elegant.
Do you think a lilac dress would be tacky for New Years?

They're not my shoes yet, but they will be!;) I'm about to buy them online.

And no, a lilac dress would not be tacky at all! I think of NYE as fun fun fun, showy, and colorful! But wait a sec, is that lilac sort of an Easter-time lilac??

Aisling....I LOVE those shows...i have a hard time with shoes as i have a wide foot - VERRRRRRY hard to find really cool shoes that fit :sad1:

Marla...so glad to hear Kara is okay & can go back to school!!! Hoping she missed her "junior" prom & not her senior...

oh i'll have some for sure....but it will be sandals or flipflops as we're boarding.....i'll be running to see you all & don't want to fall on my face:rotfl:

An old lady was standing at the railing of the cruise ship holding her hat on tight so that it would not blow off in the wind. A gentleman approached her and said: "Pardon me, madam. I do not intend to be forward, but did you know that your dress is blowing up in this high wind?" "Yes, I know," said the lady, "I need both hands to hold onto this hat." "But, madam, you must know that your privates are exposed!" said the gentleman in earnest. The woman looked down, then back up at the man and replied, "Sir, anything you see down there is 85 years old. I just bought this hat yesterday!"

junior prom

ok I have to admit those shoes are cute - but make my feet hurt just looking at them

me - I am a flat comfy shoe gal

I think we need a little advice regarding our dinner seating. We wanted to get the early seating but when we booked only late seating was available, so we were waitlisted for the early.

Now after thinking this over we are wondering if we are OK with the late. Our son will be 8 1/2 at the time of sailing, he is very resilient and can probably out last us most evenings (Owen can we please go back to the room, Daddy needs a rest).

Any advice on early vs late dinner seating with a child Owen's age? I don't want to push DCL for the early if we would be fine with what we have.

On our 1st cruise we wanted late seating & had early. We showed up at the late seating & requested it to be permanent. There were no problems. They were happy to assist us.

On our last cruise we shared a table with Dis friends who had a young fellow, I think he was 6, and it worked out well as far as I could tell. A time or two he fell asleep at the table, and was put under the table to sleep. Very cute!

But most nights he was up and at 'em, partying with the rest of us. A rest in the late afternoon does wonders, not only for the little ones, but for us all! That's the only way I was able to keep up, my kids, too, and they're a lot older.

If you have late seating, then the nightly show would be the early one. We liked it that we saw the show, then went to dinner instead of the other way around.

Loved your joke, and the funny thing is that I'd bet it really happened!

The pain we have to go through to look cute:rotfl: !

Thank goodness for fancy flipflops!

I like slides - can't stand the strip between my toes

Kara calls them my butt ugly sandles

but they are comfy

Hi Magic Mateys,

Has anyone heard when the new ships will be leaving Germany? Jeff and I will definitely be on that cruise. My older son was born in Germany and wants to go with us but spend 10 day in Germany before the cruise. That kind of a trip will take a lot of planning.

we selected late dining so we wouldn't have to rush to get ready for dinner after excursions etc

Hi Debbie! I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to say I'm happy to see you!

That's a great point! It worked out so well for us last time, so this time we're doing late again.

well we had late for our last minute cancelled Med cruise (stupid passport people) and didn't change when I switched and then kinda forgot about it until it was too late
