NYE Western Cruise 2008 - New Thread

Hey everyone - sorry tried to go to bed early last night so I didn't jump back on. I am at work today so I will update the website tonight with everyone elses updates (Yeah Nan - was going to ask if I should call your mom MOM when we met..LOL).

Aisling - do not scare me and tell me you will be canceling. I was sad when CustardTart, Ddeb4ever and tigg cancelled but I don't think I can take another one. But I'm glad you asked because I wasn't sure when you could get a refund.

OK - how many people are thinking of the Europe trips in 2010? I had my hubby convinced months ago but then we looked at prices from 2007 - and he wanted nothing to do with it. Now we are trying to get some friends to come with us and try and get a suite (I know small chance) but the husband (of our friends) is kind of a cheapo so I'm not sure they would go (although they could afford it its just one of those things where its the principal - which is fine but I'm not getting hopes us). It would actually cost us less to get a 2-bedroom suite with friends instead of a Category 5/6 by ourselves but if they don't go I'm still angling that we go. We are looking at the Med 11 night one.

I would love do the TA ones especially since value/cost are good BUT I would have to take Sydney out of school for two weeks. With the May 15th 11-night one I would only be taking her out the last few days of school where we all know so much gets done.

i thought about the med / baltic cruises or the TA...but i'm still planning to do the maiden from Germany to FL on one of the new ships....so i think i'll stick to that plan....& try to do an Eastern between now & then...haven't done an eastern yet....

I am going to go through the list and see the best way to break out the group into at least 2/night..

I think the TA back from Europe sounds tempting. I have been to Maderia Portugal, and OMG, LOVED it!!! That one starts at $999/person and sounds way more reasonable. I brought it up to Brian the other night. He looked interested!! lol

Does anyone know if we have a fuel surcharge on this cruise? I was reading about the surcharge on the 2010 cruises.

If so, how much per person? Oh.. and why not make that part of the cost of the cruise?!?!?! I just dont get that.

If you want, you can add that we will be at the Hyatt Grand Cypress on the 26th. We will do Key West on our own, have a private boat chartered for G.C., Xcaret booked for Cozumel, and a cabana massage on CC!

So - anyone - was "our" cruise ever "sold out" meaning there wasn't anymore availability at least through the website, etc? I was messing around on the disneycruise website today and was curious (as I know final payment was due recently or I thought so) and there are categories 6, 7, 8 and 9 all available ~ with two adults priced. I then went back and priced for two adults and two children and all it gave me back was a category 9....weird as I thought when the ship met its "quota" for children, regardless of category, it no longer accepted reservations for children.

WHAT, kids are going on this cruise? I thought this was the Hedonism Cruise!!!

I found a bit of a clip with Wilson on the track on youtube.

He is with his friend Jarret practing at Dixon before the IKF race. Wil comes into screen at ~50 seconds and then again looks like he got lapped in the next around.

His friend Jarret is a great kid with great parents and he is a bit of a dare devil you can see by this tape. Jarret is a sponsored driver, Wilson just has dear old mom and dad paying his way...
