Hi All,

We are going to celebrate NYE at Magic Kingdom this year and and I wanted tips or helpful hints not to end up being stressed out that day.

Thanks,

Crystal

The park will be packed.

Super packed.

Get Dining ADRs now for all your meals if you can.

Many people will stake out fireworks viewing spots in the morning and stay there all day. Not sure if that's your thing but you'll want to keep that in mind.

The only real advice I can give is go with the flow and try "negative" attractions (go to where the big attractions AREN'T) If it's parade time, main street and frontierland will be packed so you might want to move to Tomorrowland or Fantasyland at that time. Fireworks means the hub and main street will be packed so that'd be a good time to hit adventureland or fantasyland.

Most of all? Just have fun!

Be prepared for shoulder-to-shoulder crowds. MK will most likely reach a stage 4 closure, so don't plan on leaving the park.

I really recommend MK on the 30th and Epcot on the 31st.

If you're just now planning, you're late. You want to get to the park early (it will probably open at 7 a.m.) and stay all day. Personally, I booked three table service ADR's for the 30th last year just so we had some breaks where we could sit and rest. But there are no (zero!) reservations available at MK for NYE now.

MK has only hit Phase 2 over the past five years. I doubt they'll hit Phase 4 this year, at least not all day.

I totally agree with doing MK on the 30 (to see NYE fireworks) then go to one of the other 2 parks in NYE. We went to HS on NYE (EMH night) and we didn't notice the crowds till about an hour before midnight and everyone was packed on Hollywood Blvd. After midnight the park cleared out and we just strolled around.

My sister lives in Florida and goes to Epcot every New Year's Eve. She likes it way better than magic kingdom.

My extended family went for NYE for the millennium. They didn't get home till 4:30 a.m. but said it was one of the most awesome experiences of their lives. If going some place like Times Square for NYE sounds fun rather than a place to avoid, you'll probably really enjoy the MK too. Just expect lots of people packed in together and don't have overly ambitious touring plans.

If you haven't done NYE @ MK it is a must do but like other's have said get there early and plan on it being wall to wall people.
