NYE at Epcot

We are planning to visit Epcot on NY Eve and see the MN fireworks. Do you think Epcot will close that evening? How early should we arrive?

It didn't last year we entered at 11am did one of our FP+'s and got the heck out. We went back at 7pm to have dinner and do last 2 FP+. Not sure of earlier years.

As locals, we have been to Epcot several times on News Years Eve. Usually arriving between 5 and 7pm with no problem at all. We do not ever plan on rides and usually spend the time around the world.
The only issues we have encountered were trying to leave along with the other 30 million cars on the road.

Agreed. We've done Epcot for NYE for the past 5 years now, arriving around 5pm, never a problem.
What we do is stay in Epcot until around 1:30am, walking very slowly toward the exit and have not encountered problems with traffic when leaving at that time

There's rumors and talk that Epcot may get close to capacity on NYE this year, especially with the additional entertainment additions that were just announced (extra DJ in Japan, extra temporary bars), it sounds like they are preparing for a massive crowd.. I plan to arrive around noon and I will be determined to get in!!!
