NYE 2025 Waitlist Question

HI All - It has been 6 years since our last trip (we have been to Aulani 2x instead which was awesome too) and I am so excited that our (mostly) adult kids still want to take a trip with us! About 2 weeks ago I was successful in booking a 2BR lock-off at SS for 3 nights 12/28-29-30.

I have 2 waitlists for the 2 nights 12/31 & 1/1. A lock-off at SSR to hopefully match up to our original reservation and a dedicated 2BR at Kidani (home). Thoughts on possibility of either of these coming through? Or should I switch the waitlist(s)? SSR is a big resort but maybe a dedicated 2BR is the smarter waitlist? AK is home, but with refurb may have more limited inventory than other options?

Back-up plan is 2 rooms booked at the Fairfield near Disney Springs for 2 additional nights 12/31 & 1/1 that is very inexpensive, and also have a reservation at Dolphin which is quite pricey.

No matter what we will be at Disney with the whole family and will be a fantastic trip.

I have no recommendations about which waitlist is most likely to come through. I do strongly recommend checking frequently on the DVC website to see what other rooms may become available that don’t exactly match the waitlist. In addition to other room types at Saratoga, you can look at Old Key West, which is also by Disney Springs.
