I've registered for the Buffalo Marathon/Half-Marathon and wondering if anyone else is going. I'll be doing the half marathon.

Lily!! I'm NOT the only enabler in the bunch. Buffalo is a SWA destination, and Jim did say he was interested, so chances are good we will be there. Are you staying at the host hotel? I looked on the website and didn't see how far the hotel was from the airport. And, how long are you staying? Good thing I get a lot of PTO with my job, and knock-on-wood that I don't have to use any of it for sicktime!!

So many good possibilities out there!!

Lily how do you find all these races?

Mike and I could do this one, we are only about 2 hours to the boarder to depending on how far from the boarder it is, it is very do able.

Pat I found on the website that is it about 9 miles from the airport. Buffalo airport is awesome, we fly out of there most of the time.

Where will you all stay, at the host hotel or a airport hotel?

Not sure where we will stay yet, probably host hotel though.

I find a lot of races on www.half2run.com or www.runningintheusa.com. The half2run site has only half marathons, the other one also has fulls, tris, and duos too. There are just so many awesome races out there!

Thanks Pat, Mike and I would like to do alot more 1/2's next year. I only plan on 1 marathon and that is as part of the Goofy so 1/2s are perfect.

Thanks for spreading the word about this race! I may have to do this one seeing as though it is on my birthday. Also, it's only about a 4 1/2 hour drive from my house.

Unless you guys are interested in renting a vehicle, MIke and I will have a car as we will drive there and can pick up from the airport. We will only come in on Sat and leave after the race Sunday.

Hey just booked the host hotel, online it was $152.10, called and asked for the marathon price. $117.00. FYI

Kim, I think I use the same sites Pat listed. I was looking for states I have not done and ones kind of driveable. So I start with the site and work with Google then voila! It's driveable for us too.

I still need to check with DH about visiting Niagara Falls and perhaps one of the casinos in the area. The original plan is to use the host hotel and only stay Sat. night. I think other options may make it fun to hang around another day either before or after. We'll have a car, but maybe only the 2-seater. No firm plans on the extra stuff for me yet. I still have to find DH for a couple of minutes to talk with him about it.

Good deal on the hotel, be sure to request a room near the WISH Racing Team! Jim and I are booked Friday to Monday.
