Nutritional Info Now Available at BOG!

Thanks for the link.
That looks fabulous from many standpoints - nutritional & allergy information, ability to modify your order, no trays to carry, picture menus.

I hope that as they roll out the RFID enabled cards, etc, they renovate all the self service restaurants to work like this.

Fantastic! We tend to avoid CS, because it's such a hassle with the kids' allergies, especially the places with kiosk ordering. Captain Cook's was particularly nightmarish. I can't wait to try the new BOG this summer!

I'm not so sure it would work out so well. I'm basing this on people's inability to manage the self-check out at the grocery stores near me. Perhaps it would work out well in the long run, but I wouldn't want to be there during the learning curve.

A little ot sorry op

Their testing at the akl quick service a new way to order and get your food like at bog. You won't get a rise like bog once you order your be a device that will know where you seating by scanning it at the table you choose. Then when your food ready a cm will bring it to the table. I think if they expand that to more places it help out lots of people.

I would agree that some people are kind of clueless at the grocery checkouts. If they have enough helpers, it may work out. The biggest issues I see at the grocery store have to do with paying and with items that need to be weighed. Those should not be as much problem at the restaurant.

Also, Disney already has a similar ordering procedure at some CS locations. Contempo Cafe, for instance. It didn't seem to be a problem there. Granted, I think BOG will be much busier when it opens.

When we've stayed at Poly, any time we wanted to eat at Captain Cook's we just walked up to the bakery counter and asked to speak with somebody regarding allergies. I never go up to the self-order kiosk. A manager comes out to talk to us and depending on what we want to order will either write down our info to give to a chef or calls a chef to come talk to us (for foods like chicken tenders where I already know that they're safe she doesn't bother with a chef but for anything that isn't just premade she always seems to call a chef). When we've figured out what we want, the manager then walks us over to a cashier to ring up our order. I can't even imagine trying to use the kiosk to order when you've got allergies. Nobody's ever told us to do differently.
