Nutrition for Our SON on DDP??

Funny how people always say that before saying something that might BE offensive!!!

As a grandmother now I am always amused by by questions like this. My DD, now 26, wouldn't nurse, hated formula, then hated milk, wouldn't eat baby food, subsisted on mixed vegetables, chick peas, lima beans and juice (and no, they didn't have special toddler juice back then) until she was like 4!!!!! Somehow she survived.

My grandson is a great eater. When he's hungry he'll eat anything including the cat. But he goes through days where he won't eat anything but crackers or bananas or waffles or peanut butter sandwiches or whatever. Ya know what? It won't kill him.

My point, dear OP, is that, if you feed him well on a regular basis, nothing he eats or doesn't eat for a week on vacation will make a difference in his health. Try not to let it worry you too much ;)

We have never had a problem with whole milk. Many signatures actually did have it (Jiko, FF, and Yatchsman). I would always ask if it was available and most TS and club level accomodates could make it happen. CS was not as lucky. However, I felt like for a week they would survive with 1% or even ... gasp... juice! ;) We didn't do soda but water, juice, and milk were find with me. We even gave them chocolate milk once!! My kids had never had it before, and still don't get it at home. They think Mickey has chocolate cows.... and I think we'll leave it that way for a while!

As far as eating... I'd let him eat off of our plates and we never had an issue. Sometimes it meant that I had to make a choice that might not have been #1 on my list but #2 wasn't bad... and normally was a better, healthier choose for me anyway!

Lol you made me laugh so hard on the juice comment.:rotfl: I too agree a little juice won't hurt and when the milk wasn't going over well they did either have juice or chocolate milk! Way too funny! It is horrible to see the reaction you can get when you admit to giving your child juice. Who knew? :confused3a thousand lashes for us!!

Op you will Love CBR, the fridges are a great thing to have!! Made my life soo much easier. The year before we were in a value and my strophoam cooler was just not the same!

Those boxes are a good idea.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 He still loves his bottle tho. I'm still trying to gethim to LOVE a sippy cup but he will not touch itif it's in a cup. :confused3

omgosh my daughter was IN LOVE :love:with her bottle. When I talked to her pediatrician about weaning her he told me I needed to go cold turkey with the bottle b/c after 18months he found that kids had an even harder transition than at 15 months.
So-we did. The bottles were gone. She cried and got frustrated the 1st day or two and then adjusted. I did find that she preferred cups with the straws rather than the traditional sippy cups.

Just throwing it out there-I was at a loss with my bottle loving baby. Her brother did not really like his bottle so he weaned himself at about 10months. But I think if I had not taken my DDs she might still have it, LOL/:laughing:
