Please help. I'm having my niece over for dinner on Sunday and I have no idea what to cook her. She is lactose intolerant, has IBS (no onions) and now has a wheat allergy. What can I make for dinner? :confused3 Thanks, gina

How old is she? Do you have an idea of foods that she likes? If you have a Whole Foods near you, they have lots of great options for dairy and wheat-free foods.

If she can, or does, eat meat poultry or fish, you can make one. Add veggies such as baked yams or potato and any other types you like.

Again, make soup. There are many kinds you can make that don't need dairy products or onions. Add a salad and you have a meal.

There are lots of things she can eat. Just don't think in terms on *boxed* dinners, premade food, or frozen food. Cooking fresh food makes it SOOOO much easier to deal with diet restrictions.

How about a salad, baked chicken (or steak, ham, or turkey breast.), some sort of veggies (canned is fine usually. corn, peas, green beans, lima beans, etc...) Potato for your starch if you want. You CAN make mashed potatoes without milk, but it just doesn't taste the same to me. When we were strict with our milk free, the kids liked baked (frozen) french fries. My kids liked cut up veggie trays for snacks. tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, etc.

There's LOTS youcan do. Just think fresh foods and it's a LOT easier to make a menu. ;)

She is 25 and when I asked her what she likes to eat she said oh don't worry about me I can't eat anything. I'm Italian so I thought oh my gosh what can she eat... never did think of soup. What a wonderful idea. I can cook it in my crock pot. I knew you guys would help. Now to go look for some great soup recipes.

yah, I have IBS...soup makes me sick! I would stay with anything on a low ash diet. No soap, no salads, no fried foods... that is something that can be googled. I use it daily. I eat no dairy (except lately and I am paying for it!) you can do chicken, no real spices to talk of. I eat tuna, and oatmeal bread. I eat eggs and veggie burgers. NO PASTA! with sauce! you can do a jasmine rice with chicken and veggies which should only be either green beans, carrots or peas. this is how I have to eat...you can also do pancakes, waffles, dry cereal etc....check out the diet on google.

Grilled chicken breast, baked potato, & green beans.
