I was under the impression that nutrisystem used "real" foods, just portion controlled. I can't seem to really get the info I want from the web except that I read a 2007 post that says it is very much a soy based diet - much like Medifast.

I can't eat much soy. So, what can you tell me?

BTW, if it matters I would be doing the diabetic version.

Have you looked into weight watchers? My friend did NS and said the food wasn't that good and she did not feel it prepared her to make the correct food choices off the plan. She is currently doing weight watchers with me and we've both lost almost 20 lbs since mid Janurary. Neither of us are really exercising more than raising toddlers (sometimes I do Walk it out for Wii) but I'm usually too tired once my 2 year is in bed and the chores around the house are done.

Whatever diet you pick head on over to the wish board because there is a handful of threads over there for different diets. Good luck!

Not sure about soy, but I can tell you they are high in "yucky". :goodvibes Seriously, the food was not good at all! And they never sent what you ordered. They always said they were out of some things and just keep resending you the crap no one wants because it is so gross. I tried returning the unwanted to get what I ordered, then they just do the same and resned substitutes. I do not recomend.

I've been on it for two months and haven't gotten a single substitution yet.;)

Some of the food is pretty good, mostly the breakfast, lunch and snack items. I got on it to lose 19 pounds and I lost seven the first month. I exercise so I am losing about two pounds a week. I flex on the weekends so that I get used to portion control when I get off of it. I have a Jimmy Dean D'Lite canadian bacon sandwich for breakfast and a Skinny Cow ice cream for dessert those days.

I did it about 8 years ago. Maybe they got a lot of complaints? It was so bad!!!! Most of the food was inedible and I am not picky. I really tried to give it a go, but it was just dreadful. Glad you were able to have some success. I always wondered how they managed to stay in business.

It's changed a lot since then! The even have frozen items now. I don't get those though because they are more expensive.

OP, I have quite a bit in my home and would LOVE to get rid of it. I have been on Weight Watchers now for 4 months. If interested, I'd sell VERY cheap. PM me if your interested.

I had to give away my medifast. I didn't know I was soy adverse until I tried it.... Nobody would buy it. Maybe had I put it on ebay, but I just gave it away to someone I knew. And I keep reading that the nutrisytem food is just as disgusting as medifast. :)
