Nut allergy and Ice Cream on Disney Cruise

Does anyone know if the ice cream on the ship is safe for those with nut allergies (peanut and tree nut)? This is our first cruise and we would really like to prepare our kids beforehand whether or not they can have the ice cream. Thanks!

One of my 14 year old daughters has a allergey to all nuts and she has eaten the soft serve many times on cruises with no problem.

My wife has a peanut and tree nut allergy and she had no issues with the soft serve or smoothies or any of the ice cream she had in the MDRs.

One thing that might make you feel better, also, is that there are no toppings at the soft-serve station - no syrups, nuts, sprinkles, etc. If you are concerned at all about the cones, you can always grab a cup from the soda station and use that. (Mighty handy for making Coke floats, too )

My son has anaphylactic nut allergies, and concierge services looked into this for us when we boarded the Fantasy. We were told the soft serve ice cream was safe. He ate it with no issues, and TRUST ME we would have known if it had been cross-contaminated.

Count us as another family with a child with an anaphylactic tree nut and peanut allergy who has enjoyed a TON of the soft serve ice cream on board with no issues/concerns what so ever. Best vacation for my niece as food was never as issue for her - DCL took very good care!

we have two who are anaphylactic to pnuts/tree nuts (and they have some tree nuts the same and some different but between the two they have them all) and they safely ate the soft serve ice cream every day.

This is great to hear. My mom might be joining me on my next cruise, and she's allergic to peanuts and tree nuts but LOVES ice cream (especially soft serve). Nice to know she'll be able to enjoy it.
