I completely understand this is fully in the rumor category, but anyone heard anything about the timing or milestones DCL wants to hit before re-opening of the nursery?

None of us onboard have really heard anything about the nursery. I’m sure once it’s decided, we will be in there cleaning like crazy!

At this point, I'm not expecting the nursery to reopen until the under 5 vaccine is available. I know they have unvaccinated 3 and 4 year olds running around the kids club, but at least that age group can be required to wear masks. If you had told me a year ago that it would still be closed for our May 2022 cruise, I wouldn't have believed you, yet here we are with that looking like the most likely scenario.

Same. Our cruise is in August. We considered booking a last minute Florida resident rate 3 day cruise once our son is vaccinated (whenever the heck that might be), but not without the nursery. We will have both sets of grandparents on our August cruise so we'll be able to have some alone time, at least.

Yeah, I think going with a little one and only two adults right now would be tough. We're fortunate to have grandma joining us, so we basically had a draft picking which activities each adult wanted to do and who's going to sit out. Not ideal but at this point I'm so desperate for a cruise, I'll take what I can get.

That said, I also don't have great confidence my toddler would be willing to stay in the nursery anyway, so I'm trying to remind myself that even if it was open, we could still have ended up in the same boat (ha) if she threw a fit and had to get sent back to us.

I've said this a lot on these boards, but that was our experience. And our little guy LOVED his daycare at home, but being in a new place he was nervous and cried and we had to come get him. Guess what, we still had an AMAZING cruise even if we didn't do the activities we planned. The awesome thing about a Disney cruise is you can take a baby/toddler to lots of a fun activities, including the broadway shows, and have great meals together in the MDRs. The adult only stuff is very much optional, and if needed, parents can take turns.
