Pinch me!!! I was just notified that we closed Friday on our VB contract. Went to Dis for ROFR on 3/13, passed ROFR on 3/27 and closed 5/16. Should show up in Dis's system in about 10 days or so.

I've never been a patient person - my first contract went to Disney today for ROFR . by the time this is over I will have not only chewed my fingernails off but the fingers too - If it takes toooooooooo long - I'll be down to my wrists and then my Mickey MOuse watch will fall off.

Just heard from the Timeshare Store that our 220 point, October UY VWL contract has made it through ROFR!!! Now, we just have estoppel & closing to go on that one. It was submitted 5/5 So, 2 weeks isn't too bad, I guess.

We still have a BCV, 125 point December UY contract under review that was submitted on 5/19, but it's good to know we're on our way home.

I have been reading this thread with amusement as we wait and pass along best wishes to all those who've heard good news, and wish a short (and successful) wait for everyone else.

The bad news is that the sellers who listed the most recent contract I offered on failed to mention that they had just made a reservation with about 80% of the banked and current points they were listing as available. UNBELIEVABLE! What are these people thinking??? That fact came to light today, and I am once again looking for an attractive Dec UY offering. My next offer will be offer #4, on contract #2. My picture is now in the dictionary twice: once beside "masochist" (as pointed out by one of our friends on this thread); and again beside "slow learner."

So, in reality, I am back to being on only one list...but it is now the list that we all wait to be on!!

You have got to be kidding me!!???!!! What were they thinking? That you could list the points for sale and them use them and still sell it like nothing happened!? DUH! I could now say that people never cease to amaze me but I would be lying! They continue to amaze me!!!

Today we had a guy (new patient) ask for a prescription for morphine! DC's can't prescribe anything! He then wanted us to call his Dr. and tell him that he needed the medicine. Doc said "hmmm. No." He has an appointment with him on Wed. He said talk to him then. What are people thinking!!!!

Still no docs. No big deal. DH isn't here to sign until Wed. anyway. Hey, did get some good news in the mail today. A trip planner thingy from DCL for our upcoming cruise. I am sooooo there!!!!!!!

Great news on the closing, the second contract, hard to figure what people are thinking. The good news for the rest of us is we know you will be around for a while.

OK, no news to anyone, but a small rant. I know that hotel side of things gets DVC room nights to sell, and needs to sell them to pay for the nights people have traded to stay in one of Disney's hotels. But in looking for options for Dec 28- Jan 2 (MS says no rooms of any type in any DVC for this period), a standard view at BWV (my home resort where we want to stay), SSR and OKW all come up, with choice of studio, etc. Would love to get to stay at BWV, but I am not going to pay $2,600. The value will do, but really wanted this trip to be our first to our "home".

On an unrelated note, got my member card today, still no welcome kit or contact from my guide.
