No urgent trip-planning, or anything like that. Just a "Type A" personality who chose to buy resale, which is more suited to "Type B" personalities.... So why don't we have any "Type B" personalities (patient and laid back) on this thread????:confused3

I called Nancy to let her know the check was in the mail. She seems to think we'll be able to close quickly. I'm glad...Though I just know it can't go * that * easy for me so it'll probably take a month to get my points deposited. :lmao:
Congratts!!

Hey! I'm not the only person here in my age group! Yea!
(I'll be 60 next January. Maybe I'll be closed by then.)
You look 5 or six in your pic:)

Just printed off our closing papers, now headed to the bank!!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Susan--I sent an e-mail off to the title company this morning, then after lunch my DW received a call to let us know an e-mail had been sent to us with the closing paperwork. I explained in my e-mail that we were going out of town next week and was just asking if anyone knew when we might be receiving our closing papers. I never expected to get the reply we got, but I sure was happy about it!!! :goodvibes

I think it is awesome!! I am still hoping......for this week........sometime.........sigh. We are on week 6 this week so anytime Mickey........or better yet, Minnie light a fire under your ....uh.....mouse!

MIL is here. Help me. It is going to be a long week.;)

I'll have a drink with you when I return from Little League baseball tonite...it's currently 49 degrees...falling into the upper 30's tonite. BURRRRRRRRRRR.

I'm not sure who will need it more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yowsa!! Make that a hot toddy!!! I hope it isn't going to be that cold here! We have lacrosse tomorrow night. I may have to take a blanket.

Well, no news here today. Attorney was expecting to get our deed back from the state today. Here's hoping!!

Our ROFR took 9 business days or 13 calendar days. It does seem to drag but just wait until estopple!!!! It is the step that never ends...and it goes on and on my friends! When we first started this journey, I thought ROFR was as bad it gets. :rotfl2:

and a Broadway musical, it was "my age," about 38 years ago...

Awesome!:hippie:
And according to Mary Hopkins - those were the days, my friend! I know I lived 'em - just wish I could remember more of 'em - maybe too much party: :smokin: and :drinking1

Once upon a time there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours
And dreamed of all the great things we would do

thanks for the warm welcome everyone

We got our contract thru the Timeshare Store and used their closing service for a 50 pt SSR contract with June use year. The process went as follows:

3/24 faxed contract and overnited contract and deposit
3/25 contract sent to Disney
4/4 passed ROFR
4/28 got closing dox/returned dox and $ in a couple of days
5/8 closed

It didn't set any records for processing, but it did go smoothly. I don't know if already being DVC members made a difference or not.

Good luck and pixie dust with your transaction.

I have no information about my sellers, other than a last name that showed up on the sales contract, and on one closing document. No first names, home states, nothing! (I wouldn't have tracked them down, anyway, but under the circumstances, it would've been impossible, even if I were so inclined.)

Our contract had first and last name and town and state of residence.

T w t d, m f
We thought they'd never end.

(Didn't drink or smoke, but still have probably forgotten more than I remember.)

Guess What!! Guess What!!!

When we were looking for sheets for DMIL, we found our Dreams book from our cruise!!! I looked high and low....well, low, because it was on a shelf above eye level!!! I just figured we threw it away after the cruise. Whooo Hoooo!! And in the back.......the card of the guy we talked to. And underneath his name........it says DVC guide! Let's see if he is who we are assigned to!! I just had to share. Maybe the pictures will get me thru the week!

We know the first and last names of our sellers because they appear on our contract. That is all we know of them.

...and lets keep dancin.....

Oh wait, that was the Mommas and the Pappas. I think?

Hmmm...
I would've thought Peggy Lee. (Let's break out the booze, and have a ball, if that's all...there is.)

Way to go V-Man. Now we need to get the other stragglers through!

Whoo-hoo! :woohoo: had our closing documents emailed over the weekend. We only passed ROFR on April 25th so all seems to be going pretty well... Can't wait to finally be a DVC member! :cheer2:

Congrats, that was quick.

Just jumped on and thought I'd throw my two cents...Wiring funds may cost you more than just mailing. Receiver may charge and fee...sender may charge a fee. It can be done but I'd inquire with your bank and the settlement office. Our settlement people included instructions with our closing packet.

We needed to add $12, and I think $10 from our bank. Was worth it to have it all done, confirmed reciept of funds and papers the next morning (another type A), and no need to go to post office/fed Ex drop-off.

I am sure our law enforcement friends here could have tracked them down.

That was it! I was thinking Mamma Cass but then I couldn't think of Paul McCartney either.

Good morning all! Oh so tired this am. Glad tomorrow is a day off. Tonite is lacrosse. We are playing a school that has had an established program for a lot longer than we have. Should be a beautiful night for lacrosse though.

I'm going to go check out my book!!;) Have a great day!!
