number of positions for each job?

update:
disney called me today because i wanted to sign up for more roles. the lady was very nice and told me that the recruiting season was coming to an end and that the roles i wanted were filled for the fall program. my first thought was oh no i didn't get in out they are going to ask me to do QSFS.
then she asked if i would be willing to do the fall advantage program.. and of course i said yes. (i had another internship set up, but disney is more important) she then said that there was a merchandise role available for the fall advantage program and if i wanted it i would get in, and i said yes.
and she ended the phone call telling me i should get my acceptance letter in the next week.

so i am proud to say that emailing them was a good choose and i will be seeing everybody in may.

I am glad you got in on merchandising. Too many people accept QSFB just because they want to work for Disney and then when they get there they realize serving 10k people in a day sucks if you don't have the right attitude and then badmouth the program.

Congrats!!

My friend actually applied for Fall 08 and only selected transportation, recreation and lifeguard (few jobs in these roles, but he didn't know it, wish the recruiter would have advised to pick more roles) but he wasn't accepted. Jay told him it was because the roles were to limited and there was nothing he could do except apply for Spring. :confused3 It's sad because we were going to go together, but I'm still going in Fall because I got my role of character performer, and I will probably extend through next spring so we can be together during the spring semester.

So the way we had to look at it was that it just wasn't meant to be for this semester for him. Probably better because he just got accepted in his concentration at school and it wouldn't be convenient to skip next semester.

I applied for about 5 PI's. I think this is the total list:

1. Hospitality
2. Attractions
3. Merchandise
4. Character Attendant
5. Vacation Planner

I ended up getting my first choice, hospitality. Here's what I did:

1. Applied in early February, which was when the presentation was

2. Made sure to attend an in-person presentation (even though it was an hour away). Don't forget to dress up a little and smile a lot! And atleast talk to your recruiter and ask a few questions so that you're a memorable face.

3. During the interview, I told the interviewer I was very interested in the hospitality role. I also prepared by reviewing possible interview questions on Disney message boards.

4. Politely said no to the QSFB question.

5. Sent my recruiter a thank you reply to the email that thanks you for interviewing.

6. Waited forever and a day, but finally got the good news!

Soo we're pretty much twins!
I had the same roles in the same order as you but FSFB instead of Merchandise. I got hospitality as well and my interview process was pretty much the same, except I did a phone interview. And yes.. I waited FOREVER! But the purple folder is worth it :)
