I love Giraffe Trail - Lobby level. Walk right off the bus and to your room..quiet..I had asked for "near Room 3010" and actually GOT that room!!! and it was PERFECT!!

Was this at the Jambo House? Did your room have a chest of drawers?

A friend of mine told me to request certain room numbers. WHA?!?! How am I supposed to know which room(s) to request?? I don't even know where the two-bedroom rooms are located.

Anybody know of a great two-bedroom zebra-viewing, close to transportation and lobby room number?

Actually, I've found it's better to request the characteristics you want, rather than a specific room number, because if you just ask for a room number and it's not available then the room assigners don't know WHY you wanted that room and can't give you something similar. You can use a room number as an example, though, like "close to lobby, similar to [insert room number]" if you know a good number.

Since zebras seem to be your number one priority (and I can't blame you - they're mine, too ), I'd request 1. Sunset Savannah and 2. Close to lobby/transportation. You can make up to 3 requests but the room assigners are supposed to treat the first one as the most important and the last one as least important, so make sure to ask for Sunset Savannah as your first.

Don't mean to contradict your friend. Just want to make sure you get a room with the features you want.

Now we're YC Oct 18-20, AKL CL Oct 20-24, and Disney Dream CL cruise Oct 24-27. I'm tired just thinking about it! Should be fun, though!

Oh how wonderful! I agree re your earlier comment better to request a room type than an actual number! Like near reception etc... Oh re your cruise! You should catch one of the 'Halloween on the high seas' nights! We are going on the Disney Dream on the 22 September and just catch the first cruise with it on. Have a fab time! Nice also to get the F & W festival us too!

We are staying 11-18 sept and then 20-30 sept jambo. Swapping to BLT for 2 nights in the middle for our anniversary can't wait. I go NEXT MONTH EEEEEEP!

Lol!! Oh my no. Just a large family trip that we have planned. If you look at the back of Jambo house you will see two large circular rooms on either side if the big lobby window. These are the living rooms to those suites.

We booked the RAS back in 2006. My nieces still talk about it. That's why we're doing it again. Certainly can't do it every trip, but once every eight years does the trick!! Lol!!

Totally excited about halloween on the ship. usually our timing stinks, so the fact that there's a little "extra" on the cruise we had already booked is a nice change. please let us know what you thought of the halloween events on the cruise when you get back - we're only on a 3-nighter, so we'll probably have to pick-and-choose what we want to do.

we're also going to MNSSHP on oct 22, so we'll have lots of halloween fun!
