A friend of mine told me to request certain room numbers. WHA?!?! How am I supposed to know which room(s) to request?? I don't even know where the two-bedroom rooms are located.

Anybody know of a great two-bedroom zebra-viewing, close to transportation and lobby room number?

We were on the 4th floor in room 7810 and had great views pf giraffes and zebras.

Staying in a 2 bedroom villa at Kidani starting September 9th and leaving the 14th. Savannah view. What do I need to know, ask for and expect? We will be traveling with 3 adults and 2 disabled children.

I would ask for a room near the lobby. The halllways are very long- so this will mean less walking.

Make sure you request to be near the lobby or you will have a long walk to your villa.

Hi everyone! We are booked 10/17-10/26, standard room at AKL. We had a savannah but switched to standard yesterday to grab free dining. Looking forward to our first stay here with our 7 year old daughter---she is so excited to explore the hotel. Any tips would be appreciated!

I can't believe I didn't check it out sooner, but I'm in love with your VR TR!!!! You look gorgeous, and I love all your choices for dresses and pretty much everything! You struck that balance between classy and relaxed that is so difficult to achieve. Maybe in a few years I can convince DH to do something similar

I just read your TR and loved it. I got a bit teary when you mentioned your dad. Mine died when I was in college and him not being there when I got married still makes me sad.

I'm hoping to convince my husband to do a vow renewal at some point. For our tenth anniversary, we ate at the chefs table at V&A. It was amazing. Our wedding wasn't small, being a big fat Greek wedding and all. But it wasn't personal, if that makes sense. At least as far as the ceremony is concerned. There are no vows, for example. I'd love to do something small with just my husband and kids and my closest friends.

You are going to love it! We stayed there last year and had a pool view. Doing the same this year with FD again. First, plan to spend some time at the resort. There are a number of fun things for kids to do. Mine loved making a crayon rubbing of a floor inlay in the lobby. We also enjoyed story time at the fire pit. We didn't do this, but i think kids can collect beads as they attend the different programs during your stay. You will receive a sheet of all the resort activities when you check in so you can plan what you want to do. There is also a viewing guide to the animals. We loved watching the hogs and giraffes!

Many CMs are from Africa and are on hand to answer questions about the animals and their home countries, mostly Botswana and South Africa. Be curious and friendly, they are lovely people and we enjoyed spending time with them and hearing their stories.

My DD11 and DD9 want to check out the Kidani pool area this time because it looked pretty cool with a splash area to play in. The Jambo pool is nice as well and the lifeguards run games and activities there in the afternoons. We enjoyed the hot tub! Great way to wind down after a day of touring.

Zawadi Marketplace is huge and my girls liked browsing in there a lot. Just soak it in because the resort is breathtaking! I hope you have a wondEARful time!

Yay!!!! I have been going to the DVC site for about a month trying to get a studio, savannah view at Kidani. Every time I went in there were unavailable days in the middle of the week I wanted. Every time it was different day. Today I went in and all the days from August 25 through August 31 were available. Needless to say I jumped on it and booked it right away.

Please add us to the August list. Thanks.

Now all I need is for it to get here!!!

My wife (another Dis'er...I dont think she watches this thread....) is dead set on doing our ten year renewals on DCL with my parents (their 40th). I was hesitant (good lord thats the price of two cruises?!) but your TR made my opinion more open to the idea. Thanks!

What does everyone think of Sanaa? We LOVE Boma and plan several meals there. We enjoyed Jiko last visit too. Thoughts?

We were kind of on the fence about trying Sanaa, but finally gave this a go last November. We loved it and actually think that this is our favourite out of the three restaurants. I thought the food was nicer than Jiko.

I officially switched us from AOA Nemo suite to AKL! I am very excited, I have only stayed in value and moderate before but since this will be our twins first trip to WDW, I want it to be amazing! They love animals and going to the zoo, so I thought this was a great choice for us.

Any of you there on the 21st also DVC memebers and planning to sign up for Sundown Mingle? If not, say hello if you see a 50s couple with two 13 year old girls one with dark hair, one light hair.

We'll be taking our first DVC trip this August. Using our points for 6 nights in a 2BR at BWV but staying at AKV 8 nights first on a cash reservation in a 1BR savannah view at Kidani 8/16 to 8/24. Do you have to be on points to go to the mingle? How do you sign up to go?
