Thank you both! I think we will just stay at Jambo again... we did love it, and while we do cook at home, we arent there enough to want to do it on vacation! We also don't have kids, so Jambo it is.

Aiyee. That's what I meant. We cook at home...but love eating out at WDW!

This is my first post to the board. We are so excited that we are coming to AKL end of July/early Aug. This is our 3rd trip to Disney (WL 2009, BC 2012). We booked CL room. I am hoping they will have a bunk bed for the kids. Once we tried club level last year, that was the way to go. How is the bus transportation in real time to the other parks?
I have to say, staying at BC last summer, it was not great. SO crowded and the bus and boat from BC stopped at other locations, making the trip even longer. The fact that BC had boat service didn't make it any more desirable because of the many stops. So going in, I am not as concerned that AKL has only bus, but does it "feel" like it takes a long time to get to MK, Hollywood, etc?

If you have a studio, you will have one queen bed and a sleeper sofa. No choice of beds available, so no need to request anything.

Ahh, ok thanks. Is the sleeper sofa a full or queen? As opposed to a twin?

Jambo! I love the extra space and the newness of the Kidani rooms, but all the good stuff is over at Jambo!!

I only book Kidani if: (1) we need the extra bathroom or (2) there are no rooms available to Jambo!

Laura, I definitely agree with you about Jambo. We stayed at Kidani in October. It was nice to explore a new resort, but the atmosphere at Jambo can't be beat.

The only ones it feels long to me is MK and DTD, both about 20 minutes. The great thing is there's no other stops when you're at Jambo House except for the DTD bus which goes to Kidani before leaving. I have no complaints about the bus service.

You're going to love CL, it is wonderful

I've found at the end of the day/park closing, getting back to any resort takes a long time. No matter how hard they try, several thousand people all headed to the same handful of places is going to go slow.

We've taken to either leaving about 30 minutes before park close or waiting an hour after to go to the bus stop. I figure I would rather wait in a park for that hour than standing in line for the bus. We pull up some bench with a treat and wait it out. We've found over the years a lot of the shops will stay open after the official closing time so you wouldn't have problems getting ice cream or popcorn or something. And the cast members don't bother you until after a good hour or so.

We just checked out and had a wonderful stay! Only downside was that the Jambo pool was under construction & closed for the last few days of our stay - disappointing since we didn't expect it and could hear the construction from our pool-view room, but everything else about the stay was fantastic! Love AKL!!

You can use either as long as it is not up to capacity.
