We got our card in the mail pretty quickly, but I want to say that it was around 10 days or so (which would be too late to gain you an advantage).

I applied for ours through the Chase website (instead of the Disney website) because it offered a 12 month 0% introduction APR vs. the 6 months offered on the Disney site. I did not receive a notice of approval. We received a phone call the next day to verify our application and received the card about 3 days later in the mail.

Oops! Just realized I typed 3 days, it was 5 days later. I applied on a Monday. Got a call on Tueday and received the card on Saturday.

I think I read somewhere that if you apply on the Disney site you can use your card right away to book a trip. I wonder if they give you your account number at that time? If so, you wouldn't have to wait for the card to arrive in the mail to use it to book free dining. Just a thought!:)

We applied online and got the card within a week. I am pretty sure you can check online approx. 24 hours after applying - either at Chase or Disney Visa, or both.....good luck....

We got an e-mail confirmation from them and it has an online link I can try. I will try the link on Wednesday or Thursday to give them time to approve it and see what I can do. I was surprised my dh wanted to do this as we only have our American Airlines cards..one personal..one business that we pay in full each month. We are all going to fly to Alaska free next summer.:cool1: But he said that we could just do the Disney trip on the Visa and then just cancel it in a year or so. He really wants free dining. Grin.
