I made my ADR for a Fantasmic Dinner Package at Hollywood and Vine back in May when I was exactly 180 days out. At the time, Fantasmic was only being shown 1 night during our trip, which was November 17. Today, I decided to check the park hours just to make sure everything was the same and to my surprise it was not!!! Now, Fantasmic is playing every night of my trip except for the 17th!! I tried calling Dining Reservations but the system is down for maintenance. What are we supposed to do??? I don't want to cancel any of my other reservations. This is why I hate having to decide 180 days in advance where I want to eat when I come to Disney. Any ideas what they might do/can do to fix this for us without having to lose our other ADRs? And I don't think its fair that we might not be able to get a Fantasmic Dinner Package--we really wanted the VIP seating!!!

I would call back when the dining is working and find out what they're going to do about the F! package you booked.

Simialr thing happened on our September trip a couple of weeks ago (though they did not cancel Fantasmic on the night we had the package booked) BUT they did go from one show that week when we booked it to having a show every single night of the week we were there. Needless to say, the reserved seating was not necessary at all, with showings every night like that.

AND we were very disappointed with the new arrangement...have done F! dinner package many times and we really liked the latest entrance they were using (down the little street just before the Beauty & the Beast theater...through a gate, up a short hill and enter the amphitheater right next to the reserved seating area.) This last time they had you walking way past the regular Fantasmic entrance, on up past the entrance to Tower of Terror and entering a gate there. Then on that back road, you hike back towards where Fantasmic main entrance comes in and cross that line..pain in the you know what!...and then you're going back behind the top of the amphitheater all the way across the thing to end up on the far side where the reserved seating is. So the reserved seating is still on the far right side of the theater as you face the stage...but the ENTRANCE for the reserved seating is on the far left side. So for your reserved ticket you get to hike twice as far as the regular theater goers and still sit on the far right. The theater did not fill until about 2 minutes before show time--and even then ,they did not fill the standing room only section they were still seating people in seats.

Point is...you don't need the reserved seats if they're doing the show every night, or almost every night. And the advantage of getting there less than an hour before the show is gone...and the advantage of getting there by a separate, shorter entrance way is gone.

If I were you I would just flip flop one night with your fantasmic. (hoping that the other restaurant is available). I wouldn't wait long to do it though. Here's hoping everything works out for you! :thumbsup2
