I would call back when the dining is working and find out what they're going to do about the F! package you booked.
Simialr thing happened on our September trip a couple of weeks ago (though they did not cancel Fantasmic on the night we had the package booked) BUT they did go from one show that week when we booked it to having a show every single night of the week we were there. Needless to say, the reserved seating was not necessary at all, with showings every night like that.
AND we were very disappointed with the new arrangement...have done F! dinner package many times and we really liked the latest entrance they were using (down the little street just before the Beauty & the Beast theater...through a gate, up a short hill and enter the amphitheater right next to the reserved seating area.) This last time they had you walking way past the regular Fantasmic entrance, on up past the entrance to Tower of Terror and entering a gate there. Then on that back road, you hike back towards where Fantasmic main entrance comes in and cross that line..pain in the you know what!...and then you're going back behind the top of the amphitheater all the way across the thing to end up on the far side where the reserved seating is. So the reserved seating is still on the far right side of the theater as you face the stage...but the ENTRANCE for the reserved seating is on the far left side. So for your reserved ticket you get to hike twice as far as the regular theater goers and still sit on the far right. The theater did not fill until about 2 minutes before show time--and even then ,they did not fill the standing room only section they were still seating people in seats.
Point is...you don't need the reserved seats if they're doing the show every night, or almost every night. And the advantage of getting there less than an hour before the show is gone...and the advantage of getting there by a separate, shorter entrance way is gone.
