As I stated earlier, I am very against putting chips into people. Explain to me, though, how "the mark of the beast" comes into all of this. I find it interesting that people are relating it to their religious beliefs.

Another minority here...

Both of our cats are chipped and inside only animals. Yes, they also wear collars, but have gotten out of them on many occasions. I don't see anything wrong with it. The chip doesn't "transmit" anything. It has to be scanned with a device and we couldn't pin point our cat on a GPS system or anything like that. It doesn't bother them, it is just right under the skin.

That said, the chips are easy to put in and take out. I would definately put one in my children when they are young... especially if we are going to Mexico to visit my DH's family a lot. He is a "white" mexican and I am so white that our children are going to be extremely fair skinned... the type of children who get kidnapped. (He doesn't even want to take me because he is worried about me getting kidnapped). When they are older, it is their choice to have them taken out... with one stitch to close the tiny insision.

In those situations I can understand it. When there is a risk, we take action to prevent that risk. If you must, flame... but I probably won't be looking at this post again.

I find it ironic that on the "terror in the sky" thread that people freely say they want to be checked and that it is OK because they don't have anything to hide.
At the same time when a possible solution of "chipping" presents itself then the statement goes to NO WAY!
I find that odd. You want to piecemeal security & I don't know if you can be succesful at that.

Honestly I do NOT think profiling, chipping are the best solutions but at least it is something. We are doing "external means" with cards & numbers but we have to move to a different system eventually.

And the whole "mark of beast" thing is just something I flat out do not believe in, sorry.

I was going to bring up this point but see you beat me to it. It is not a tracking device. It has to be scanned just like your credit card. There is no GPS tracking device on you when you are carrying your credit cards in your wallet nor is there one in the chip.

So those who are concerned about being tracked, would you refuse to drive a car with a GPS tracking device. Many rental cars have those installed now.

My car has the E-Pass installed and technically, anyone could see just what toll roads I travelled on now. We all leave a paper trail everyday.

Because, in Revelation it says that you will not be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast. Well lets see here.. what does that sound like.....? A chip. If and when we "progress" to no cards no cash no keys, you are obviously going to need the chip. And if you do not take it you will not be able to buy or sell. Understand what I'm saying? It's simple logic, just think about it.

I'm not going to say anything more complicated than that because I'm not going to change anyones mind. I just wanted to reply to - "Explain to me, though, how "the mark of the beast" comes into all of this.".

It's not about being tracked. You will have to have the Mark of the Beast in order to buy things, have access to money, etc.
