LIVE From Hilton head!

LOVE this place. Girls are at the pool with DH, while I hang out with sleeping boy. I needed the break after the morning Kayack trip I took. The trip isnt that strenous, I am just that outta shape! LOL

Went to the beach yesterday.... so lovely! Everyone had a blast... flew a kite (girls first time!) and jumped in the waves. Boy ate his first mouthful of sand...... a great day!

We took an afternoon drive to HARBOURtown, but the girls fell asleeep, so it was a driving tour... We found a great looking playground there, and tried to lure the girls away from the pool this afternoon, but why fight it....... when the kids are happy.... everyone is happy.

Maybe they will let us go out to eat tonight, but I doubt it :wave2: POOL and BEACH is all that is on their minds. Oh and Kids camp. They did the marsh walk this morning. Loved it.

Poolside BBQ and fireworks last night. Lots of fun, but we felt it was overpriced. Next time we will eat at the villa, then head to the pool for crafts and games.

It is hot, but when your in the Ocean or pool, it is perect temp, a bit chilly when you first get out (and it is 90) so everything is prefect!

I love it here.... I really do.

Thats about it.... I have to switch the laundry over...

Any Questions?????

Ahhh...livin' the good life!!! Glad you've found your own little piece of Heaven. Enjoy the rest of your trip. ::yes::

It sounds WONDERFUL! Continue enjoying yourselves.

It sounds like a wonderful time!! Enjoy the rest of your trip and thanks for posting. Someday I hope we can get to HHI:D

I am so glad to hear that you are having a wonderful time and that the DVC is everything it should be and more. :Pinkbounc

I'd love to try out HH sometime. I have family members who said it's to boring for them, but I think it may be just perfect for our family. And your description of your vacation confirmed that notion for me. In fact, I could really use some of that right now.

Thanks for posting your trip. Enjoy the rest of your stay. :wave2:

I've been keeping an eye on the HH weather and it's been forecasting thunderstorms every day recently.

What's been the reality? We're arriving on Sunday and I'm wondering what to expect since the forecast continues to be more of the same.

Thanks.
Kelley

Thanks for posting from your vacation!

We check in for our third trip to HH on Sunday for 6 nights and can't wait to get there!

I know the pools will be nice and warm, but how was the ocean temp? We've never gone this early before. We've been there in October and July.

Do they have a lot of programs going with B'lou Crabbe? He's just incredible!

Glad to hear they've started the fireworks for the summer. Last time, our balcony overlooked the marsh right where they send them off, so we just sat out there to watch them. It was kind of comical because the first part of our stay I wondered why that barge was out there! Guess I found out.

Thanks again for posting.
Enjoy!

Afternoon thunderstorm forecasts are the daily norm for HH when the temps are around 90 or higher.

We were at HH all last week - Thunderstorms were in the forecast every day - We didn't get any.

Thanks for your post...brings back all the wonderful memories from a few weeks ago!:D W

The ocean water last week was as warm as our heated pool.

I am happy to read that you are enjoying HH.
Just this morning I made cash ressies at HH for next May. I'm really excited to try it, so keep the comments rolling!

Thank you, Bob NC for your info on the water temps. Looking forward to Sunday even more now!

I hope we luck out on the weather too. We've had only one brief shower on our past visits to HH even though they were calling for more. I've been keeping an eye on the forecast, anyway.

You really didn't expect anything other than a great vacation, now, did you? ;)

I can't wait for ours -- we arrive two weeks from Friday...

Even if it rains, it's a great place to be. (Although I have to admit, my kids are a bit older, so it's a little different situation..) One of my favorite things to do is sit on the porch in the rocker and watch the rain.... Every time it rains HERE, DH and I both say,"we should be at HH!"

Enjoy the rest of your time. You know it will pass much too quickly!

I could have written this line -- exactly what my kids think of HH. They absolutely love the pool & beach. And, more surprising than that, is I don't mind cooking (something I hate at home).

Have a great stay. We'll be there in just about a month. :teeth:

It rained a bit today around 1 or 2... just for a bit. It is hot and muggy unless your in and out of the pool/ocean. Harbortown was pleasent, but the hike up to the top of the lighthouse was wickedly hot and humid! ::::: pant pant::::::

It might have rained yesterday, but not enough for me to remember, so it ccouldnt have been too bad.

I too was fretting both the weather and G8 but so far niether has caused us any trouble.

We got to eat out!!!! We drove to Harbortown and ate at The Crazy Crab. It started to rain, so our playground time was interupeted, so we ducked into CC around 410 for dinner. LOL

I had the speical, some kinda fish (a lot of help arent I) smilar to flounder, with a holendaise sause (have I mentioned I cant spell?) crabcakes (local crabmeat, very mild) and a garden salad. DH had the seafood boil, which included 1/2 lobster, oysters, crab and something else. Kid's pizza was a bit to fancy for them, but they all loved the chicken strips.

Once again I gtta say how much I love this place. The CM's are wonderful, the location is wonderful, so much to do, so little to do, and everything in between. ::yes::

Scootermom.....Ocean temp seemed warm.... a bit cool when a wave crashes on you, but refreshing... not fridged.:earseek:
