I've just finished watching a show called "Fowl Play" on Animal Planet. I saw it was on last night but missed it so Tivo'd it today. It's an amazing story about showing chickens. If you've ever seen the movie "Best in Show" you'll have an idea of what it's like to show chickens. But to see other folks, ON NATIONAL TV washing their birds, blowing them dry, oiling their combs, cleaning their feet with a toothbrush (never use your own toothbrush for this job, it's bad hygiene. Always use your husband's). And several of people that I look up to were on the show, Bill Mghee and Dr. Watts to name two. We're talking National Poultry Champion breeders! Shoot, maybe we are crazy, but I still love it!!!
