Now it's a waiting game

7pm most of the stores in our area have just closed. Employees are cleaning up. WalMart is getting ready to lock their doors for the only time this year. Now is when the little kids start getting antsy and counting the minutes until morning. Cookies, milk and cherries will be laid out. For those of you starting this ritual have a great day tomorrow. I am waiting for dd and dh to finish their wrapping and then we are going to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" and eat junk food! DD is getting very excited!

BTW, what are the cherries for? We lay out cookies and milk and sprinkle oats for the reindeer but I have never heard of putting out cherries.

We leave the carrots or oats ~ depending on what we have in the house. I'll have to remember that they like cherries too!
