Now I'm scared.. transportation question

always best to be armed, not dangerous;) ; would say the backroads r the way to go...i try to avoid I-4 if at all possible...the signs that indicate beware agressive drivers pretty much sums it up:rolleyes1

combo of peeps not knowing the roads, impatient locals (which i would be too i suppose, would get old quick), roads being marked east/west when they really are north/south and lack of block/grid system...everything looks as though it was just scattered about to me?

i finally bought a cheap GPS (@ Ritz Camera online-Amcor 3900), it's working swell for us, cannot wait to try it out when we travel...

u might want to pick one up or rent a car with one:goodvibes

Thanks, we're back home now without a scratch on us thanks to the directions here. I brought a GPS along but the dang thing, no matter what I tried, wanted me on the interstate or a toll road the entire time. All I heard was, "whenever possible, make a U-turn" - I was ready to chuck the thing out the window. At home I can select alternate route and it behaves pretty good.

Those are the locals! :rotfl2:
