It seems as though the satin pants that tie at the ankle from the late 1970's early 1980's disco era are making a comeback, they're plastered all over the sales ads I'm getting for major department stores down in this area.

Is disco fever not far behind?

Will those ridiculous looking parachute pants be next?

Parachute pants wer made out of usually red or black type material..it may have been a tough nylon or somthing like that. They were form fillting and had tons of zippers on them.

They were really popular in the early-mid 80's

Everything comes back in one form or another.

My Mom had this horrible coffee table she purchased in the early 60's. We had it for years as my Mom never believed in replacing anything in good condition. I think we had it till 1985 or so. I finally moved out & then my Mom moved in with me, and I had my own furnishings. She never got rid of that table. It's still carefully wrapped in my basement.....after all these years. Well, guess what? This weekend I went looking for a piece of furniture at a furniture store & I saw SEVERAL similar coffee tables that is in my basement! So....everything comes back.

I always thought his type of pants were called Hammer Pants. LOL! They were out more around the late 80's early 90s. Parachute Pants were more like the Michael Jackson type, like Cindy said, early to mid 80s. I think I got mine for the start of school in 1984. Did I really just admit to that?
