Since it will only be a 3 day cruise, do you think it would be worth it to get the room with the verandah?
Strange thing is... we got an upgrade on our first cruise to a verandah. Once I saw how little I used it, we have only done a verandah a few times, mainly if someone cruised with us and instead of party of three, we had four.First ever cruise? Nah. Give yourself something to dream of for the future cruise. Warning: Once you have the verandah ... you might not ever want to go back to oceanview or inside.
If it was a starboard side verandah, you could have watched the fireworks from it. Also, without a verandah, it is much harder to join the verandah club.
How much more expensive is it?
We were assigned a navigator's verandah on our first cruise. We loved it. Went for a 5E on our second cruise. I think we had the biggest verandah ever...
We loved it but we barely spent more than 20 min/day on the second cruise.
If you are going to get out of your room very early and come back late, it might not be worth it.
Wow really? Mine was a humongous difference. Does it become less if you book closer? Rates have been steadily going up on the cruise I booked for Novemeber. Between the time I took on deciding eastern or western, (3 weeks), it had already gone about @$400 per person for same category I was originally looking at.It's about 2 to 300 more

We're doing a 5a on Deck 9 of the fantasy. I switched from 10 though after reading complaints about the overhang.lol
