I was wanted the WL but my hubby wants the Contemporary so probably will go with that for location. What are the pluses staying at the Contemporary and are these rates good could I do better - $211 for Garden wing -standard ; $246 for Garden Wing - water view or Tower Magic Kingdom view for $327.

Which would you choose.

What should I request for the contemporary def. have to have non smoking because 3 yr old has allergies.

Thanks
Stacy

A garden or standard room will be in one of the wings, not in the main building (where the monorail runs). So to get the monorail, you will have to walk to the main building and take the elevator to the 4th or 5th floor. We've never stayed at the CR. My DH doesn't like the feel of the place, but I have always wanted to try it! The rooms are huge and you can walk to the MK!!!

Your rates don't sound too bad...are they AAA rates or were you able to get some other kind of discount? Check out www.mousesavers.com and see if there are any discounts you can get for your travel dates.

Also check out the codes and rates forum here for lots of great info!!!

Have a great trip!!!!!!!

We stayed in a Garden room last Spring, got a killer deal for $134 per night (they were redoing the wing paint, wallpaper etc...) and it was very nice. Our first time there and DH loved the location and the monorail but the hotel was boring, not Disney themed at all and just weird all around....next time I would pop a few more bucks for a better hotel.

We did a YC/CR split. I thought the room at the YC was prettier, but the CR had lots of plusses. You just can't beat it for convenience. It's a 10 min. walk (max) to the MK. It's easy to take the monorail to Epcot. On the monorail, you can easily access the restaurants at the Poly and the GF.

One of the cool things about WL would be riding the boat across the lake. That might be a bit nippy in January...save the WL for when it's a bit warmer.
