SO much fun! I love Halloween. I swear, it's my favorite holiday. Without a doubt, all tied up in my being an October baby.

I highly recommend you go as a pirate.

He's so excited! And he's so excited to go in general. You know, I haven't even mentioned the whole trick or treating thing, because I know then his only question will be when are we going to trick or treat?

Ohhh you can have costume birthday parties! Lucky girl!!!

A pirate is a great idea. After Dorothy and Little Red, I'm all about being a villian. Queen of Hearts and Maleficent (one of my fav Disney characters) are possibilities as well.

For an adult party at a club/bar, I'm thinking of going as Bret Michaels and buying a blonde wig. A few of my friends will be the Rock of Love girls.

I think my problem with crochet is that I never got the hang of it when I tried as a kid. Now I have a bit of brain freeze when it comes to it.

First of all---

I think HRH may have gotten the name Otto from another book in the Dr. Seuss collection---one of those P.D. Eastman ones---A Fish Out of Water. It is about a boy who has a pet fish named Otto that he feeds too much and grows too big. I loved it when I was little.

LOVE your new bag and backpack....I think you are set!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that you find some little Veras to go in there!

There is no better baby blankie than a hand made soft crocheted one. DS10 had his blue blankie (made by his godmother's grandmother) ...that he loved to death and then absconded with DS8's yellow blanket (made by a relative) which is even more destroyed.

He still sleeps with yellow blankie

I think it's all the love that goes into it.
