Now Bring Me That Horizon ~ It Begins P115

Let me just say this about Food and Wine. Food and Wine and saving money do not go together.

I have been thinking of eating at Coral Reef too. My dd would love the fish tank. The aquarium is her favorite place at the zoo. I am torn between Coral Reef and Le Cellier. My dh was born raised in Montreal so I think he would love it there but is it really child friendly? What do you think?

You know, I haven't eaten at Le Cellier in a few years. I know there were children there at the time, but I didn't have DS at the time. I know everyone loves Le Cellier for steak, but honestly, the wow factor of the aquarium is just priceless for your child. Are you able to do both?

Hmmmm I love the idea of hotdogs....seafood...not so much LOL!!! I would dine at Coral Reef just because I love aquariums. I'm a Kansas born and raised girl who has been forced to live in places known for great seafood (Alaska now Florida) and I don't enjoy it!! Shrimp is about it....oh wait I'm totally rambling here and you might make me walk the plank or something like that LOL

No plank walking....yet. ;)

Do you not enjoy seafood because you've had too much of it, or just don't care for it general? Now you've peaked my interest.

I'm so excited that you will be able to enjoy your birthday at Disney!! No matter what age it is, you are going to have such a great time with Family!!! Now post more...I need more...of course if you posted more I actually in all honesty wouldn't get to read it until I returned from my trip...so maybe you wait (UhOh ...being a LIbra is kicking in...means I must say goodbye!!)

Ha ha! You are so Libra, just like me. :lmao:

Let me just say this about Food and Wine. Food and Wine and saving money do not go together.

Oh, totally aware of that. Totally, totally aware. But looking forward to it anyway. :goodvibes

I love being flexable. We've always dont the hopper. Staying at BWV it's so easy to bounce around. After the other parks close you can always close out your day at Epcot and illuminations and maybe a nice relaxing drink. :cool1:

Your plans are looking great. We loved the Coral Reef too last year and have ressies for our trip this year. Yes, the kids loved it. We had a booth looking at the aquarium, it was great.:thumbsup2

That sounds so nice right now. Looks like you're going to be doing this very soon, too! :goodvibes

Isn't it great to eat at a place where you know your kid(s) will be entertained by the sheer atmosphere?

(Keep that in mind, it's a little hint for one of my upcoming ADRs.)

It's more of a I grew up in Kansas so I am accustomed to COW and PIG. I did not grow up eating anything that came from the water and my dad who loves seafood refused to buy the stuff at the store...said it wasn't fresh!!

So its more that I never acquired a taste for it and in general I just don't care for it unless its been battered and fried and then slathered in tartar sauce and well....that sort of defeats the purpose LOL!!!

I so want to take you to a nice seafood restaurant right now. :lmao:

I never used to like fish either. Growing up the only fish I was ever served was either out of a can or coated in batter.

I've tried branching out as I have gotten older, and find that now I really do like more fish. Much more than I like beef actually. Normally I stick to chicken, so having something else I like is wonderful. I love Mahi Mahi. Easily my favorite seafood.

The Mahi Mahi at the Coral Reef is truly amazing. I know I didn't go into it in great detail on my September trip report, but I loved how it was prepared. Very moist, flavorful, and whatever the accompanying rice or risotto (don't remember) was, it was very, very good.

Jen I grew up in Maine and I don't like seafood. My dh on the other hand had never had much seafood before we started dating. His had his first lobster when I took him to Bar Harbor the first time and I had to tell him how to eat it. :rotfl: My parents used to get lobster alot because I had a great uncle who was a fisherman but my brother and I never aquired a taste for it. Sorry to hijak your ptr TK.

No problem. I'm actually finding the seafood debate quite interesting. I think I actually had it more as a child than I do now, certain things I can't / don't eat anymore. But because having seafood is so rare for me, I really enjoy it at Disney World. Go figure.

Yes we will. wrote one last year and had a blast. Hope this year's TR will be even more fun.

Good, I'm always looking for new trip reports to read, and just by the little bit I've read of your PTR, it looks like you've got quite a crew!

The popcorn smilies are multiplying! :lmao:

Well if you insist:rotfl: ...now I must tell you I have had some really good halibut in Alaska and it wasn't fried so I have ventured a bit!! Other than that if its not shrimp I'm not sure I'm trying it...I really should attempt to branch out!!!

Also I think having a husband who is an avid fisher and I know that smell...I will not eat any fish that tastes like it smells and I have had some like that...ewwwww

You know, I've had similar conversations with Tink, I think. Okay, I know that rhymed, sorry. So punny.

ANYWAY....:lmao: When I'm done making myself laugh, I promise I'll get back to my comments. I can't remember what she didn't like that I was trying to convince her to have. When she gets back to commenting, maybe she'll regale us with it. :thumbsup2

Wow, seafood thing is really interesting. May I know where we can find the best seafood served in Disney World? I want to try it in our next trip.:rotfl:

Have a nice day.:)

Growing up in south Louisiana I love fresh seafood. ::yes:: DW LOVES kingcrab and lobster. We had lobster at Cap't Jacks last year and king crab at Coral Reef. She, along with the rest of the Bushwackers gave two claws up for both. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Our crew is a blast. I hope to get some more "action photos" with everyone like I did last year, especially at meal time. :rolleyes1
