Now Approaching... Sleepingbooty's Sept. PTR (We're BAAACK! 9/26)

Jenbear, listen to Rebeccabooty. You must do a TR. This was the trip with your mom, wasn't it?

I remember Jen mentioning that! Such a shame... But, hey I know a trip she just might want to report on coming up soon... :rolleyes1

Okay, okay. I realize that I really should write a TR for my last trip. Yes Glen this was the trip with my mom. Perhaps I could get that TR rolling (especially if I know I'll already have some devoted readers...Glen, Liesa, Rebecca, Jordan maybe) while I try to figure out my next trip... it's very aggravating I'll have you know! If only work would co-operate :sad2:

Rebecca! You should really get to the doctor if you're feeling crappy. Sinus infections don't go away on their own you know... Feel better and don't get too stressed with all the stuff you've got going on

I would definitely be reading:thumbsup2

Great pool pics!!! The girls look like they are really enjoying themselves! We have VBS the 2nd week of July and I'm the 2nd grade director!! I can totally relate to the exhaustion--but it is sooo worth it!! :goodvibes

Great swimming pics!!! Madison loves to swim too, but she's not on a swim team....yet. We must be doing the same VBS at your church-High Seas Expedition. Our VBS is the week of July 12th, but I bought Madison the cd last Monday. Yup, we already know all of the songs! All she needs now is to learn the motions. I love helping out at VBS too. I always help with games because I love being outside. We always do slingshot water balloons on Friday of VBS and it's a blast! I can't wait!

Yep, it was High Seas Expedition! The songs are really good - but it seems like every time we go out to run errands, we listen to the whole CD like 2 or 3 times, so those songs are constantly running around in my head. The motions are really cute, too. These prepackaged VBS curriculums make things so much easier than back in the day when we had to invent everything ourselves (but I kinda miss those days, too!

That picture of Lucy about to be dumped by water is BEAUTIFUL! What an amazing shot! It's shots like that that make getting these cameras worth it.

Love the battle cry of your girls. That's just too cute.

Rebecca, at your swim meets does your snack bar (if you have one) sell "taco in a bag"? It's pretty good, and popular. They take a Doritos single-serving bag, crunch 'em up a little, and open them and roll the sides down a turn or so (because you'll be eating out of the bag). Then they add some taco meat that they have in a crock pot, some shredded cheese, lettuce, salsa and sour cream. That's it. You get a plastic fork and mix it up a little. Mmmm. Good stuff!

If I remember, I'll have to take pics of the way our church does VBS. There is a team of people that make GIGANTIC sets for the stage. The entire classroom hallway gets decorated too. There is a great team that comes up with a grand opening each year and it's always hysterical. Each day, they add in a special surprise or something extra. We also keep the church decorated until the Sunday after VBS so everyone that doesn't volunteer gets to see the set and hear the music. Pretty amazing!

Call the DR......Sorry you feel kinda lousy, but you have been running around alot lately so you're probably run down.

I can't believe it's Summer which always means VBS.....:)

I hope you're able to relax during your trip to the lake....

Hope to hear from you again soon...

Thanks. Yeah, you're right, I probably should call. I keep saying, "If I don't feel better by tomorrow, I'll call." And then the next day comes and I'm still saying it. I'm tired of blowing my nose.

Yes, you SHOULD write a TR! I'll read it for sure!

So, really? They don't go away on their own? Course, I don't really know if that's what I have - I'm self diagnosing. Maybe I'll get on WebMD for some info...

Becky, I was with the PRESCHOOLERS! Actually, they were adorable, and it made me want another bambino!

So what's your theme? You're not doing High Seas Expedition, too are you?

Aww thanks, Yuki! I thought that was pretty cool, too. And I didn't even know I'd gotten it until I uploaded later. It was too bright out to see much on the LCD screen. I was shooting in continuous mode, so I actually got a whole stop-action thing. I think I got 5 or 6 shots of various stages of the water going from the swim cap to her head. Fun stuff.

Well of course! That's the ever popular "Walking Taco!" The kids like 'em so much we even made them at Girl Scout camp last year. Only we used ziploc baggies so we could save money by buying big bags of chips. My favorite thing to eat at swim meets is the loaded baked potato. Last night we had an "away" meet, and I had a really lousy bratwurst. Which I had to eat cold, because after I'd ordered it, they asked me to fill in for a time who didn't show up.

Oh, I'd love to see a pic! We have a pretty cool set too. I wish I'd taken pictures. Maybe I can find some on our church facebook site.

OMGosh! That sounds absolutely heavenly!!! This even sounds like it would be a PERFECT camping meal!! I am SO remembering this!

Of course we'd be reading!!

Glenn, how'd your meet go?

Just okay. Marlene is our swimmer, our only kid on the team. (The others stayed home). Judy and I were at the snack bar and missed her first event, the 50 meter freestyle. The loudspeakers suck and we couldn't hear which events they were on, and I thought they were still doing the medley's since they take a while. Anyway, Marlene comes over in tears because her goggles filled with water, she couldn't breathe because of the goggle issue, she couldn't do a flip-turn...a general fiasco. She was slated to do the 100 free next and she was refusing to do it. Judy had to comfort her the whole time and basically escort her to the starting area, and tightened up her goggles. She swam it, and was thiiiis close to placing 3rd, just missed it. We found out afterward that she didn't know that her team gets points for 2nd and 3rd place <slaps head>, otherwise I think she would have tried a little harder at the end. Doh! She was slated to swim the 50 backstroke later, but got replaced by a girl who had only swum in one event up to that point. Marlene was actually very happy with that. This was the first meet of the year for Marlene, because of our vacation and then a church youth group event, so I think she'll get back to form having gotten this one behind her.
