I've gotten better- I used to be SUCH a gift card spender. I'd buy things as soon as I'd get the card, then two weeks later see something I really wanted. Now, I wait awhile and try to make smarter purchases-- my brother gave me a $100 e-bay gift card for my birthday a few weeks ago and I'm sitting on it!
You got great books-- and the DVD!! I got a terrific abs DVD on Amazon for next to nothing!

Ooh, I didn't know ebay had gift cards? That's pretty cool!

I can totally relate!! When you read my post about my Amazon order--it was purchased via a $40 gift card my brother had given me for my birthday LAST year (August 1, 2009)!!! I, too, can spend money on my girls all day long but when it comes to me--forget it!! And LOL on the Dave Ramsey cult remark!!! I just cannot do the cash thing--thankfully both Brent and I are very good with money!! Glad I could help in persuading you to purchase something for yourself!!

Oh no - you're just like me! Yeah, I don't really stick to the cash only thing, I did in the beginnning though. I use my debit card like a fiend though.

Love the Color Companion to WDW. I put that book on my Amazon Wishlist. I'm waiting for two gift cards and I now have an idea of what I might purchase.

Love the Color Companion to WDW. I put that book on my Amazon Wishlist. I'm waiting for two gift cards and I now have an idea of what I might purchase.

I just finished reading it through - its REALLY good! I never used to recommend the Unofficial Guide to newbies, because its almost TOO much info to start with - but this version is just perfect. Plus, tons of great photos! There is a good description of every single attraction in the parks, too

I mentioned somewhere (I think it was Glen's thread) that I won't be doing a TR for my recent trip. Or I might just do highlights on it... I haven't decided yet. I've been keeping busy with life so sadly I just haven't go the chance. It might end up fading off into Disney memory

Have you tried Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred dvd? I recently have, and I love it! Well, as much as you can love a workout dvd.

I am eying the dvd set.

The whole book was written in a very amusing style. I wonder if some people who are completely new to WDW might pick it up and think some of the jokes are serious though?

I have a girlfriend who is doing the Gillian Michaels thing. I think she's doing it from her book though, not a DVD. She says it's insanely tough! Don't know if this pile of mush is ready for that!

Chapter 34. Eat My Bubbles!

Yes, I've been neglecting my PTR. Again. Bad Diser! Bad Diser! But let me tell ya, I've been neglecting everything around here lately! The girls are both home with me for the summer, And I have this guilt thing about being on the computer much while they are here. And when they go to bed? I'm just too pooped! Luckily, they go back to school on July 15th, so I'll be able to catch up then.

So what HAVE we been doing? Well, we did go see Toy Story 3 (awesome!) but mostly - SWIM TEAM. Hence the title of this post. That's the 'battle cry' that some of the kids have been writing on their backs with a sharpie marker when we go to meets. Yes, we are at the pool everyday, sometimes twice. Oh, poor me- right? Well listen, I was at the meet Monday night until 11:00! The meets are a lot of fun, but boy are they a lot of work, too. But hey, I wouldn't change a thing. It is such a good experience for the girls, and they are becoming really good swimmers. Here's a few pics:

Last week was Vacation Bible School at our church. Yeah, that's why you didn't hear from me AT ALL last week - between that and swim team, I'm not sure I even came home at all! What a great week it was. As exhausting as it is - I love helping out at VBS. It is SO worth it. I love seeing a huge room full of kids just coming together to get closer to God. But those songs are STILL stuck in my head. "Clap a friends hand, clap a hand next to ya..."

I'm trying to get some cleaning and organizing done before we leave on Saturday for the lake. We'll be gone 9 days, and I HATE coming home from vacation to a messy house. Unfortunately, I can't seem to work up that manic energy that is necessary for a marathon housecleaning session. I think I have a sinus infection or something, because for the last two weeks I've had headaches and dizziness, and the nose honking never stops. And if I sit down for a minute, I feel SO tired. I keep debating whether to call the doctor. Of course, If I do, she'll make me come in to the office. I miss the good old days, where you could just call up and they would prescribe you something over the phone.

So anyway, we'll be gone all next week, but I promise I WILL get in a pre-trip related update in the next couple days before we go. Now I gotta go catch up on yall's PTRs. Yeah, you heard me. I said yall's. When we go to the lake, the southern girl in me comes out. I may even dig out some country CD's for the ride down.

Great swimming pics!!! Madison loves to swim too, but she's not on a swim team....yet. We must be doing the same VBS at your church-High Seas Expedition. Our VBS is the week of July 12th, but I bought Madison the cd last Monday. Yup, we already know all of the songs! All she needs now is to learn the motions. I love helping out at VBS too. I always help with games because I love being outside. We always do slingshot water balloons on Friday of VBS and it's a blast! I can't wait!

I can't believe it's Summer which always means VBS.....
