I would like to get responses from those people who have been Thanksgiving week as to what the weather was like that week. I know it will vary year to year, but I just wanted to hear others reports.

I figure we will have to pack hot and cold clothes, but I just would like see what others experienced.

TIA! :sunny:

We were in WDW for Thanksgiving 2003. We went to Typhoon Lagoon our first day there and it was HOT. It was pretty much in the 80's the whole week except a cool front came through and on our last day we were in sweatsuits and jackets. It was cold! This time is pretty unpredictable- if I were you I would pack hot and cold clothes just in case. Also, if you are doing any swimming take advantage of it as soon as you can. Thank goodness we didn't wait until the end of the week for Typhoon Lagoon- my DS would have been devastated!

Thanks Sinderelli. I am usually a heavy packer which isn't such a problem if we are driving, but this year we are flying and I really want to keep it down. We are flying on SW, so we each can have 3 bags, which would give us 12, but I don't want to have to worry about carrying and checking it all and/or having the airline loose it. (I don't think even I could pack 12 bags though! LOL!) Our kids are 9 and 5, so they wont be alot of help and we will need to be watching them closely. I also want to have plenty of room to bring back souvieners!!

We went the 1st week of December 2000 and had somewhat the same issue, but we were driving, so I just packed everything!! (That week turned out to be in the low 60's and everyone from Fl. was freezing and we thought it was a heat wave!--It was in the 30's and snowing back home!)

Anyone else have any other stories?

We were there that same week! And yes, it did turn mighty cold!

We almost always go a week between Thanksgiving and Christmas each year, and I will have to say that most years the weather is fine if you are in shorts and a t-shirt during the day, but it always gets chilly at night. You will need pants, and definitely a windbreaker at the least. I wouldn't pack too much heavy stuff - you can wash the pants out if necessary (who is going to know you and remember what you wear each day except for your own family), and if it gets really cold, what a great excuse to buy a new sweatshirt!

As everyone else has said, the weather is unpredictable but historically, high/low temps are 78/60 or so. That being said, we have hit 50's and 80's during the day and even colder at night.

Because we leave from the NE, we are wearing jeans and sweatshirts already. Typically we bring another sweatsuit/windsuit and between the two outfits we have enough clothes for the cooler weather for at least a 7-day trip.

Of course, lots of cold weather makes buying a new sweatshirt a must-do :cool1:
