I just saw on accuweather.com that NYC is supposed to be getting snow in the next two weeks.Yuck for me but glad we're going awy! But it looks like Orlando will be a little cooler the day after Thanksgiving too.High was 71 low was 49 I think. Please tell me to stop obsessing over the weather. I'm probably going to pack our gloves and hats and pray we don't need them. I hate winter and need a nice warm WDW vacation. Send Pixie Dust to the weather report please! LOL!

Today I'm actually starting to do some advance packing - we're in Montreal so we've got some cold weather here too.

I, as well, am kinda obsessing now about the weather.

I started to pack up for me, capris & t-shirts, sweatshirt to throw on top.

For the kids, shorts and t-shirts and a couple sweatshirts, jeans.

NOW, I'm starting to doubt myself!

I've thrown into my suitcase a few long sleeve (but still thin) tops.

Am I on track?

We're leaving Nov 27th for a week.

HELP!?!

(someone who totally despises packing)

I just checked in weather.com and in Orlando the day after thanksgiving says Hi 77F and Lo 57F. Let's cross our fingers. :goodvibes

I'm convinced that "accuweather" is a contradiction in terms.

Hey, I'll send pixie dust to you, if you send some on December 16th! Some years we have been swimming in January, I hope this is no exception, I need a warm December!!!

I am checking the weather daily too.
Normally I'd be done packing by now but I haven't even started! I'm not sure what the temps will be. If it was in the mid to upper 70's during the day I'd be happy. I don't like it to be too hot, because touring the parks while running after 4 kids is enough to make me sweat as it is!! But the kids want to swim too so I just want it to be perfect weather with no rain. Not too much to ask is it? ;)

We live in the Adirondacks in New York near Lake Placid and it has been in the 20's in the mornings lately.. I figure even 71 will feel warm! BTW I am almost 15 weeks pg and have very little hot weather clothes that fit so I will be packing light! I will have jeans an a fleece for sure along with shorts and short sleeve shirts... I guess it doesn't really matter... I'm spending Thanksgiving with Mickey!!! :cool1: I too have checked the 15 day accuweather forecast every day too!!! Are we sickos or what!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

This will be our 2nd Thanksgiving in Orlando......we have been to WDW many times in the past 5 years......the weather has been scorching heat in the summer to very chilly in mid-January.....I have been rained on, blown on, sun burned, dehydrated, chilled.....but...

we are at Disney World.....and no matter the weather, we have a great time....just plan ahead....bring a poncho in the summer, bring a sweatshirt in the Fall and Winter.....

This is our 4th Thanksgiving trip. We leave in 9 days and I haven't even thought of packing. Anyway we've hit every type of weather. In 2003 the last thanksgiving we were there it was freezing literally, 32 degrees we were watching the MVMCP parade and I sware the snow on main street was real. Other years it was 80. You just never know. I find that accuweather is pretty close. There is another website that does 20 day forcasts, can't remember it though. I'm sure if you post it on the Disney tips board someone will know. Anyway pack for anything. I'm actually packing a little light this year because I realize that no matter what I bring with me,jacket, pants, sneakers (don't ask) I won't have it with me when I need it so I end up buying it in the park anyway. I'm hoping this is the year we get the high 70's for Thanksgiving. Keep watching the jetstream, if it dips too low it will be cold in Florida

I've been constantly lurking on accuweather.com,too here lately! I'm doing preliminary packing, and am planning on going with jeans, light weight long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirts, light jacket, warm jacket, gloves, and bathing suit for hot tub. It will be me and my three children, and I'm trying not to overpack, but still cover all the bases. This will be our 4th trip at Thanksgiving. The first one was literally freezing, but last year was pretty warm - the kids even got in the pool (too cold for me, though!). It's hard to tell. Remember that here in the South the humidity makes for a different cold. The temperature can be deceiving. It may not seem that cold until you're out in it for a while.

No matter what they predict I'd plan for a variety of weather possibilities. We've been 3 times over Tday and at some point we've needed sweaters/coats like in the late evenings all the way to shorts/bathing suits. My hubby would probably wear shorts and a long sleeve shirt while I have long pants, a top and a sweatshirt! It's all relative : )

I'm looking also and crossing my fingers since we are there at the same time. I don't worry much about the temps, but I am worried about the possibility of rain.

Been in December and in Janauary, but never November. We leave next week for the Wonder Cruise and then 4 days at the Beach Club.

I will let the kids swim if it is at least 70. The pool water is always soooo warm.

That being said -- I have experienced cold weather - especially in the evenings -- at WDW. Therefore, when travelling this time of year I ALWAYS bring a hat and pair of gloves for the kids (go to Wal-Mart or the Dollar Store for the cheap ones -- if they get lost, so what!) Our first Janauary we ending up buying hats and gloves -- never again!

I also bring a scarf for me and DH. Something about my neck staying warm that makes it all better.

Yes - I too have been checking the weather. Orlando weather is a permanent bookmark in my Favorites. Our friends just got back today and they had perfect weather -- 80s day, 60s night. I think we'll be looking at 10 degrees cooler.

However----- 70s and sunny beats 80s and rain ANY day of the week in my book.

Pray for sun is all!!!!!

If it's sunny, 70's will feel blissfully warm. Just have something to put on when the sun goes down. We always go in November and have only had one year where it was "cold". If there's no rain you will have wonderful weather to enjoy the parks and even the pools as they're heated. I've gone out on a cool night @WDW and seen the pools packed with children. I hope all of you November travelers have a wonderful trip!

Ok, we are going this time of year so it is not so hot, but we want to do a waterpark on Thanksgiving Day. We are from OK so we never know about the weather here, wake up and see. I need a real forcaster! I guess we will take a little bit of everything. If anyone lives in Orlando, and has a real forcast, please share. This is out first trip, DS10 and DS7.

I'm watching the weather too. Taking my granddaughters over Thanksgiving and of course they'd like to swim a little bit. The weather was looking good until today it changed. They're even calling for rain on Saturday. The Farmer's Almanac called for a little rain and cool too. I'd hoped it'd be wrong this time.

Oh well, I'm sure we're still going to have a blast!

The forecasts crack me up. The fact is, they can't forecast anymore than 48 hours out and are really just taking a stab at the next 13 days. We've gone when the forecast said 80s and woops! Surprise cold front swooped down and it was 40 instead. Not the whole time, but a couple of days. Last year they called for 70's one night and it was 86 degrees at 9pm in the Magic Kingdom. When you go at this time of year, you just have to be prepared for everything. :)

I saw yesterday that they were predicted cooler than average and I was bummed! if they're predicting warm and it changes, I'll be disappointed too. I keep telling myself not to look but I can't help myself. I've been checking daily as soon as I got within the 15 day range.

I have 12 empty suitcases. Piles of shorts and tshirts. I'm going today to buy more jeans for the boys. At some point, I guess we'll wash the sweatshirts if we have to wear them every day. :cold:

I know - we like to look at weather forecasts, but know how wrong they can, and often do, end up being!

I'm kinda stuck. I found out well after we booked with AAA that she put us on a charter flight. My baggage allowance that should have been 70 lbs per person with the same airline changed to 40 lbs - poof - just like that - because it's a charter. I am SOO angry she didn't tell us this at the time of booking. We are 2 adults and 2 kids, one of which is an infant sitting on a lap and therefore doesn't have any baggage allowance. Which means already limits me to allowance for 3, for 4 people. Ok at a higher baggage allowance but now.....?!?

I positively HATE packing and now need to try to pack up a little ahead of time in order to weigh my bags so that I don't go over the limit.... a suitcase weighs almost 10 lbs empty, so I'm left with a max of 25 lbs of actual stuff for each of us depending on how many bags I use (so far 3).

I started packing yesterday - shorts and t's for the kids for each day with a sweatshirt and jeans for if it's cooler. For me, capris and t-shirts for each day, again with a sweatshirt..... BUT now I am worried I packed for too warm and if it's cold - we are going to freeze!!!!

I kinda need to add in some stuff in case it's colder - and for nightime when I'm sure it will be, but I am so limited on my allowance I don't know what I'm going to do!

We're flying out on Nov 27th for a week and I really didn't want to get stuck having to do laundry.... want to do Disney, not a laundromat :-)
