November waitlist came though

Got my waitlist request for 11/5-11/8 at the Poly- I can’t decide if I’m thrilled or nervous lol. I am debating putting myself back on the waitlist for VGF- not sure if I’d rather be at the Poly or there (that’s my home resort) based on what’s open/will be open? Who even knows what will be happening with COVID then? So many questions and things up in the air. I’m guessing that the Christmas parties will be cancelled but I’ll be thrilled to just see the decorations. Anyone else in my boat?

Congratulations on the waitlist!

Our trip begins November 29, and it starts with a DCL Cruise on the 30th. We have no idea if we will be going, but we are hopeful. We actually also have plane tix for the day we would be leaving the cruise, in case there’s no cruise, but we want to do WDW.

We cancelled Sept and booked what I could for Nov with the limited points I have left. Still have one more night waitlisted for OKW and then waitlisted the entire 9 nights at BWV standard view studio. It’s all I have left for points as we are supposed to go in January also. We are really hopping to go in Nov after canceling or being cancelled 3 times since April. Our November trip totally rests on whether the governor of MA lifts the FL quarantine by then and if the Covid cases are under control.

Trying to decide about adding a waitlist for VGF. Will there be more open there vs Poly? Assuming it will be similar. My daughter hasn’t stayed at either and I’ve stayed at both. So many decisions involved now- ready for the simpler life when the hardest choice was where to make dining reservations lol. I don’t even know the rules for those now It’s not 6 months out anymore is it?

I had a waitlist pending but found it online and it was not matched to the waitlist for those following that variable.

Same here. I had a waitlist to replace an existing reservation and saw the room I was waitlisted for showed as available on the member website. I modified my existing reservation myself and cancelled the waitlist. Not sure if there was more than one available and my waitlist would have eventually matched, (assuming DVC was holding a room for my waitlist, but had not processed it), but one day later, the room is no longer showing as available, so I am glad I modified it myself just in case it might not have filled using the waitlist.

the waitlist didn’t not pick up my Nov one night waitlist. I saw it available and booked it myself. The waitlist must only look for matches at certain times per day. I’m happy I got all the nights I needed.

They must still be doing this manually or at best, batching them.
