We are getting ready to book our second trip. We went during the first week of December last year. Is there anything we would miss if we go during November? Are the Christmas lights already up at that point?

It depends when you go in November. We've been the last full week before t-giving and the resorts were still working on putting their lights up. The parks were mostly decorated - as in, some were not the first day we did them but were the second day. The Epcot holiday storytellers weren't out yet either. I think the Osborne lights were up - but you'd need to check the date if you go sooner in the month, as Nov 9th sticks out as a date for one year. That means that they would likely not be out if you're looking at the start of Nov. We went the full week right after t-giving as well - and ALL the lights were fully up by then, the Epcot holiday storytellers were in full force, and the Osborne lights were definitely up by then.

I can't remember the exact dates of either of those trips though and a late/early t-giving could effect those. But if you're looking for any time after t-giving, everything is out regardless of when t-giving falls.

All parks are decorated by the second week in Nov, the resorts decorate later on, the ginger bread house is up at GF though, and the christmas party starts Nov 8th so Osbourne Lights will be up then too. I always go the 2nd wk in Nov. For this reason! Less crowded, but know that they offered FD, might not be.
